Oh no!
How’d that happen?
I’m slightly afraid to ask, but I must know… Was it wild dogs or tame monkeys?
OH NO! I’m with Jenn – what happened??
Apparently my 11 year old bread machine decided it had had enough! It was mixing and I heard a loud crash from the other room. This is what I found.
Aww.
That happened to me awhile back but luckily mine still works fine, the top just isn’t attached anymore.
I hope you get a new one from Santa!
I may have to try it again (on the floor!) and see what happens.
I may have to try mine again (on the floor) just to see…
Oooo…I hope Santa is listening.
Ack! Haha! No fun!
So sad! But at least you got a good decade out of it! My mom got a bread machine one year, and that very night we started it and left it to run overnight. That darned machine wobbled back and forth so badly that it “walked” itself right off the counter and onto the floor!
I hope Santa brings you a new one!
Not good! That is on my wish list also. I hope Santa has lots of bread machines stuffed in his bag!
Oh I would be so sad if mine committed suicide like that! Thankfully lots of thrift stores have them available cheap. Do you have thrift stores in Tiny Town?
Notsomuch. But there are 3 in a neighboring town. Might have to check them out.
Oh no! I hope Santa keeps that in mind for you this year. That happened to my great-grandmother’s machine as well. It just gave up and flung itself off the counter one day.
@Jen, i wish you lived close to me. I just bought one at a garage sale for $3. I would give it to you.It is a Sunbeam, and has no instructions. I have no clue…..
@Melanie, Try looking online for the instruction manual. I found one for the Oster bread machine I bought on craigslist. I just bring my laptop into the kitchen when I need to reference recipes.
And pronto!!!
Ooooh no!!!!
That stinks! I hope you get one from a nice Santa!
Oh, nooooooo!
It seems like a huge coincidence, but Jenn @ Frugal Upstate just posted about her broken bread machine… seems like her’s still works, even if it is not ideal.

Very, very interesting. Glad I didn’t toss mine yet!
I’m so sorry that this happened, Amy! But, I kind of take heart to hear that so many other people’s bread machines wobble around too. (I have been sticking a Pampered Chef scraper tool thingee under one “leg,” and it has helped a lot.)
Good luck on a replacement or salvaging your old one.
OMG! That’s my same bread machine! The best part? Mine died 2 weeks ago too!!!
