My husband’s family long ago started a tradition that all birthdays are celebrated for a week. Forgot to send a card? No worries, we celebrate for a week! Weren’t able to make it to the party two days ago? Come on over, we celebrate for a week!
Here at Finer Things, I’m embracing that tradition and we’re going to Celebrate Mom all month! (If for no other reason than I simply can.not.get.my.act.together right now.) 😉
Onward with the giveaways! Today’s giveaway is from Ilyssa, an independent Norwex distributor. If you have yet to hear about Norwex, it’s a company committed to cleaning without chemicals. You all know how I feel about cleaning, right?
Norwex microfiber is 1/200th the size of a human hair. Norwex Enviro Cloths have 1,800 miles of microfiber in each cloth! That’s enough microfiber to stretch from Canada to Mexico.
Used dry these fibers produce an electrostatic charge which attracts and holds dust particles. When wet the fibers use capillary vacuum force to pull moisture and grease from the surface up into the fibers. A cotton cloth simply pushes dirt and debris around the surface.
Norwex antibacterial Microfiber does not disinfect the surface you clean by killing the germs on it; rather it removes what is on the surface and collects it within the cloth. The silver agent inside the microfibers then inhibits the growth of bacterial odor, mold, and/or mildew growth within the product.
The micro silver functions as a self-purifier and helps cleanse the cloth of mold, fungi and bacterial odor within 24 hours, so that it is ready to use again.
Ilyssa sent me the Norwex Enviro Cloth and the Cleaning Paste to give a whirl. Here’s what she has to say about each:
I like to think of the Cleaning Paste as “Elbow Grease in a Can.” It’s got a million uses- and yes, I do think it’ll work on your shower door. If they’re really bad you might want to try our Descaler. It’s what I use on my glass shower doors and it works wonders! I have hard, well water and it leaves buildup all over! I think the cleaning paste will help a lot though. You can use the Cleaning Paste to clean grout, make stainless steel sinks SHINE, use it in place of Goo Gone, remove rust stains from virtually anything, clean foggy headlights… really anything. You just need a dab on your Enviro Cloth.
The Enviro Cloth is really like a magic wand. The fibers are tiny (1/200th the size of a human hair) so it can pick up dirt, dust, etc much better than a typical cloth. You can use it with water anywhere you were using a multi-purpose cleaner. You can use it to wipe down the counters each day (just wet the cloth and wipe down like you normally would). You can use it to clean up some carpet stains (wet the cloth and gently rub). In my home it has replaced window cleaners, multi purpose wipes, paper towels, disinfecting sprays, etc.
And here’s what I have to say: “My very much neglected bathroom sliding glass doors thank you, Ilyssa!” Oy.

Would you like to win an Enviro Cloth from Ilyssa? (Yes, yes you really would!) She is giving one to three of my readers! To enter, simply leave a comment below. Any comment will do, but if you have any experience with Norwex products, I’d love to hear about it. Also, feel free to lay it all out and tell me how you handle cleaning at your house (Unless you’re a type A neat freak whose house is always spotless. I don’t really want to hear about that. 😉 ).
This giveaway will end just as soon as I get my act together enough to get all of the Celebrating Mom! giveaways posted and rounded up. Yep. It may be a while. Winners will be notified by email and posted in a winners roundup of all the giveaways. Thanks for hangin’ with me!
