For Married Women Only is the post we all need to read. The one that I don’t have the guts to write. Thank you, Robin!
5 Tips for Surviving Summer Road Trips will come in handy as we plan a week in Colorado in July!
One glance at my own tagline and you’ll know that I appreciated this post: Do You Let the Extraordinary Become Ordinary?
This Pop Bottle Watering System looks interesting! Now, will someone come landscape my yard for me? Please?
Our reasons are a bit different, but I’m enjoying the discussion on Choosing Public School in a Faith-Filled Home.

Thanks so much for sharing my post, Amy! I hope you have a great trip to Colorado!
Oooh….For Married Women only was AMAZING.
As a graduate student, there are times where I.just.have.to.focus. School IS most important – and my husband has to step up, help with our lovely (or not so, depending on the day) chicklets, and allow me to get my homework done.
As I’m finishing my last major semester of coursework, I see the effect it has had on my marriage. Granted, we got married knowing that I’d be in school – the intention was to wait to have children, have me work full time, finish school, THEN have babies. Well…it kind of worked in reverse. I lost my contract, continued school, got pregnant, had the baby, did more school, got pregnant AGAIN (praise God for surprises! Or poor planning…;) ), and am now finishing school, with no intention of going back to work any time soon. But my husband has been very open lately about feeling neglected.
And frankly? It breaks my heart – I certainly didn’t intend to make him feel like a second class citizen in his home, especially considering how hard he works for us. But I have to admit, I’m looking forward to being DONE with school, and the freedom (minus the student loan payments) that come with it.
THAT’s why I became a stay at home mom…for my husband. my kids, and my house. Not for anyone else.
I can’t fathom being in school and caring for a family. Kudos to you for making it work! After your classes you’ll have to schedule a little weekend get-a-way or something.
