Tonight, across the nation, Dave Ramsey hosted Town Hall for Hope. Millions tuned in via satellite venues or internet feeds to hear a positive message about this economy. Forget gloom and doom, friends. This can be fixed!

We’re still learning! In fact, a few months ago we used Dave’s mortgage calculator and found out that if we remain incredibly disciplined, we could pay off our 15 year mortgage in under 6 years. Will you celebrate with me in December of 2010, because we’re going for it!
Ponder a few encouraging Dave Ramsey quotes that I’ve already heard about from tonight’s event, which we missed due to a school-sponsored Family Fun Night.
- We the people could give the government out of business.
- Buying gold is an indication of fear. Don’t do it.
- I choose hope and refuse to participate in the recession.
- The children of the great depression were permanently changed, and were more responsible with money from then on.
- Failure brings clarity. It will run you towards excellence. If there is no chance you can fail then there is no reason to do your best!

We’ve been seeing plenty of commercials for companies that sell gold. Dave Ramsey makes a good point about that. Thanks for sharing.
we went last night too and LOVED what Dave had to say. I pray that fear doesn’t continue to feed the cycle, but that we are able to make a change.
We listened to the event on the radio. He had so many interesting things to say. I realy liked his explanations about how our country pulled out of the great depression.
I attended this event through my church. It was great! I think this is a pretty good recap of the event. My post on it includes some of my favorite Dave quotes from the event, including, “Most Millionaires can’t tell you who got kicked off the island last night.” LOL!
I love Dave Ramsey. I had planned to go to this event; I even posted about it on my blog, and then I got sick that afternoon and missed everything.
