I admit it. When brushing 4 different sets of kid teeth at night (I let them brush their own in the morning) I sometimes cut corners. Two minutes?! We’re supposed to brush for two minutes?! (That’s the dentist recommendation.) That is 8 total minutes of brushing at bedtime when I really just want everyonetogotobedalready.
Actually, I’m able to capture the toddler’s attention longer if we sing the ABCs while brushing, or if I play the “what do I see” game. “Oh my goodness, I see an apple in there! Did you eat oatmeal today? Let’s get it out!” He laughs. I brush. We have a good time.
With the big kids, though, I get the foamy mouth eye roll. (Aren’t we done yet?!) They are less than thrilled with all the brushing, and the ABC song doesn’t quite work.
Enter ARM & HAMMER Tooth Tunes. ARM & HAMMER™ Tooth Tunes™ features one of a kind Music in Your Mouth™ technology. This proprietary technology streams sound vibrations from the bristles of the toothbrush through the teeth, allowing kids to hear the music while they brush. ARM & HAMMER Tooth Tunes featuring One Direction is the only toothbrushes that plays One Direction in North America.
I have to defer to my 9 year old to know who or what One Direction is, but the way the kids dance around while “One Thing” is playing (another Tooth Tunes brush plays “What Makes You Beautiful”, which I think would be so fun to give my girls!) assures me that it’s much cooler than mom’s tooth brushing song and dance.
Actually, it may even work me out of a job! If they’re brushing longer, they have to be brushing better. Each toothbrush features two minutes of music to encourage longer brushing.
At $9.99 retail, I can’t say that Tooth Tunes will be a regular purchase at our house, but what a fun addition to the Easter Baskets or Christmas Stockings!
ARM & HAMMER Tooth Tunes™ launched in July 2012 featuring:
