Amy, Lance, & Family
I just want you to know I think of Brett every time I see Stanton in the back yard playing tractors & disking perfect rows in the wet mud, or when we sit down with strawberries and powdered sugar. Oh, how our stomachs ached after we ate half a flat of strawberries or at least it seemed like it to us back then! He is truely a wonderful brother, son, and uncle. He is missed and fondly remembered, and thank you for pointing out how grateful I am that we have something even more amazing to look forward to. What a blessing that Brett will and is here to share it.

What a beautiful post! "The kids know him only through our memories, but they do know him." Outside of the Word of God, that is probably the dearest thing I've read today.

Amy, I am sorry for the grief and loss of your brother. Siblings are very special even if we fought a lot with them growing up. I commend you for sharing your brother with your children.

Life is too short to twiddle it away. Enjoying our friends and family should be done each and every day as to not miss the opportunity. However, you are so right - the best is yet to come! I just want to make sure that I don't twaddle away the moments that God has given to me here on earth.

I am sending hugs and prayers your way!

how great is of you to share wonderful memories of your brother with your children. My father is the same way with the younger generation. I so want to share memories with them about my dad so that they know the man he was. You are so right the best is yet to come
