Sunday Blessings

So. My laptop died Thursday. Meh. Adapt and overcome, I say, especially since we do have a nice desktop.

So. My desktop died Friday, and I am not even kidding. Nothing left to do but count some blessings, right?

577.  Unpacking beloved saxophone for fifth grade daughter, ready for band herself!

578. Playing that saxophone after a 19 year hiatus.  I’ve still got it.  ;)

579. Same daughter happy exhausted, telling daddy daughter date stories from day before.

580. Family.  Big, loud, crazy fun extended family.   We have SO much fun together!

581. One last swim with the kids before fall.

582. Rocking nap on pool patio.

583. Pre-grilled chicken strips, saving a drive-thru stop on trip home.

584. Simple birthday celebration for Mr. 3.  Three!!!!!

585. Random “selfies” found on my camera card.

586. Miss 1 took a 2 hour nap in her crib, people!  Alone!  Two hours!  You have no idea how revolutionary this is for her!

587. The Galaxy. Not ideal for blogging, but getting the job done!

588. New, recommended, computer guy IN Tiny Town, available on Saturday for a house call!

589. Updated family photos on my wall! I can’t wait to show you! (Take note: Amy completed a project. Wah-hoo!)

590. I get my fixed desktop back tomorrow afternoon! (and my accountant will be excited about the business expense – ahem)

There is always something to be thankful for. What’s your something?

  1. Sounds like you had a crazy week. My husband just started a 3 year lay formation class. He came home so excited and couldn’t wait to tell me all about what he learned. As part of the course he is required to do the liturgy of the hours and we are taken that on as a family. Love starting new family traditions… :)

  2. Finding orange gatorade in the back of the cupboard just when I needed it!

  3. I teach in a school in which many, many people want their children to be. And I teach in a school in which most teachers there chose to leave other schools to be at this one, including me.

  4. I dearly love that picture of you and Baby Girl. Beautiful!! Miss ya!

  5. Yay for a 2-hour nap! You need to send Miss 1 down here to teach Cam that trick :) Glad your computer is getting repaired!

  6. I knew we had a lot in common – I played the saxophone for 7 years. I am trying to get my son to play, but he is going from the trombone instead.

  7. Yay for band! Best school music group EVER :) And yay for saxophone–one of the best sub-groups within the school band :) I didn’t pick sax up till college, but I ended up enjoying it so much more than my flute. Happy squeaking to your daughter! :)

    • Ohmyword, the honking and the squeaking! And she’s mad that she can’t puff out her cheeks because that’s “so much better.” Pffffffft

  8. Love this list!

Miss you but still feel connected when I click by and see all the joy in your life. :)

    Hugs!
