Stop the Clock {Finer Things Friday}

Stop it! I am so not ready for this!

And apparently neither is he. ;)

Oh my word, this little guy is all over the place!  Opening and shutting doors and drawers, often on his fingers and into his forehead.  Pulling up; falling down.  Climbing over and into everything!  Poor little guy has been nicknamed Bruiser, partly for his determination and headstrong toughness, and partly for the tell-tale signs of a highly active, mobile baby boy!  He’s turning me gray.

But you know what else?  Those cheeks… that smile… his chubbilicious thighs… and that sweet soft spot between his head and his back fat?  {swoon}  Oh my.  His every move is a Finer Thing. I’m drinkin’ it in, because it’s going too fast!  Will somebody please stop the clock?!

  1. Oh, he’s so cute!!! And why is it that our babies with older siblings seem to grow up even faster, by then we know how quickly the stages fly by and we are in no rush for the next milestone like we were with our firstborns, but oh, those 3rd and 4th children just can’t wait to be on the go and keeping up with their brothers and sisters!

  2. Thanks for hosting! I’m sharing an EASY Chocolate Mousse & A Love Story…which was how I met my hubby. 21 yrs ago in the Navy…and we had long distance & rough seas the first few years, but we were meant to be. :)

  3. Thanks for hosting!

I am sharing a great recipe for Homemade Aluminum & Corn Free Baking Powder!

  4. First? How I adore the word “chubbilicious”. I’m going to have to work that into my vocabulary. He’s so precious… love that cheeky grin! We call G “Baby Brute” sometimes because she is fearless and tough as nails. Might be they could get into trouble together somewhere down the road… ;)

  5. Awww…poor dude. Is it bad that I giggled at the 2nd picture? :) What a cutie pie.

  6. What cheeks!!! I love the pictures!

  7. Your baby boy is so cute and precious! God Bless him and your family.

This week we are celebrating my baby girls last day of kindergarten today. It is so bitter sweet. I am so very proud of her that words can not even describe however I am so very sad as well b/c she is growing so fast and really is not my baby anymore.

Also, we are celebrating my youngest daughters 1st birthday. She turns 1 on Monday. She has grown so quickly. It seems like everything went so much quicker with the second then the first. She is already on day 3 of no bottles.

I just don’t know where the time has gone honestly. Everything seems to be moving at the speed of light and I’m stuck somewhere in the middle wondering how it could all be happening so quickly. I’m having a bit of trouble dealing with both of these happening at the same time but also full of joy that I have two beautiful healthy girls that God has blessed and trusted me with. These are the FINER THINGS in this life.

    • Everything DOES go so much faster! I think with the first we’re anxious for every new “trick” and then with the others we’re too busy chasing the “bigs” and we just need everything to slow.down. :)

  8. “his chubbilicious thighs… and that sweet soft spot between his head and his back fat”……that just made me smile! I *finally* have a chubbier baby and am loving. every. second!! (Not that my less than chubby babies weren’t just as sweet and cute, but there’s just something about baby chub that is just awesome!!)

  9. Oh the *chubbilicious-ness*!! I just wanna pinch those cheeks! ;)

  10. Heavens, what a beautiful baby! I had to link up a post about my favorite blogs, yours included, because they are certainly a finer thing in my life. Blessings Amy!

  11. Those are some GREAT photos. His smile is too precious and that action shot is a keeper!

  12. He is such a cutie! I love his smile because he just looks so proud of himself. Pride goeth before a fall? :-)

  13. Love those chubby days! What a blessing children are to be sure. They bring perspective to every area of life. This week I am celebrating my 4oth and share my thoughts about aging on my blog.

  14. I feel your pain. My almost 10 month old is doing the same. I just want him to be a baby just a little longer. Love my little man!

  15. charity crawford says:

so adorable at this age…..it makes it all worth it…..

  16. My baby girl just turned seven months yesterday, she is getting so independent! She pulls herself up to stand at her “piano” and is doing the army crawl all over the living room! I am SO not ready for this!

  17. Those cheeks are TO DIE FOR!!

  18. OH MY, what a cutie pie, love those pictures. His face is priceless in the 2nd pic, and those cheeks. :)
