Steak and Chicken Wraps

If you’ve ever had any doubts that I am soooo not a food blogger, one look at this blurry photo will confirm it.  Do me a favor: look past the blur. This is some seriously tasty summer convenience food!  (In the meantime, I’ll work on my photo skills.)

When we fill our grill, we do so knowing that leftovers will come in handy the rest of the week.  This quick meal is case in point.

Last night we grilled both steak and chicken.  Although our oldest daughter left us doubting there would be anything left (growth spurt, anyone?!) I was able to fill a nice-sized container with thinly sliced steak and chicken for salads and these wraps.  Perfect for fast lunches during this crazy summer week!

Steak and Chicken Wraps

  • flour tortillas
  • ranch salad dressing
  • salsa
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • lettuce
  • grilled steak and/or chicken, sliced very thin

No need for measuring!  Simply spread ranch dressing on a warmed tortilla. Top with salsa.  Sprinkle with cheese.  Layer lettuce and grilled meat.  Roll and eat.

This works well with fried chicken strips, too!

  2. I make a chicken one like that without the salsa for my son all the time. Its his all time FAVORITE wrap to eat for lunch, or dinner. He could live off them! Yum!

  4. Never mind the blur, we all get into that from time to time. They look delicious anyway! I often make my own version of these, but I’ve never used ranch dressing so thank you for giving me a new twist on a favourite 🙂

    try the macro function on your camera — a great way to take close up food photos that are crisp.

  6. That is so convenient! We do something similar; I’ll shred any chicken that’s left after grilling (we grill extra) and fill sandwich baggies with it, then pop it in the freezer. When we need a quick meal, I put a baggie of the shredded chicken in a saucepan with a little butter, water, and taco seasoning, then continue to make quick tacos, adding lettuce, cheese, etc. Easy and delicious!
