I live in a small town, but probably not a tiny town. More like 3000 people. The best part for me living here is my family is close and I have some very good friends are close, so if I ever need anything I always have somebody to ask. Also the childcare here is awesome. I was able to find the best babysitter and feel comfortable leaving my child to go to work, especially like this morning when he tells me “mom bye!” in other words mom leave!

I grew up in a tiny town too. Now it has 10,000 people, but back in the day, it was much smaller. What a great way to live! You’ll know everyone in the town before you know it! Enjoy!

How fun that you’re going to be interviewed about this! We moved to a small town when we lived in Indiana and it’s true–we were able to buy a very nice house for about $86,000 (back in the ’90s) on a lot of land with woods and a creek and neighbors who weren’t on top of us. Real estate was our reason for moving there–we couldn’t afford a house closer to Indianapolis. Unfortunately, we didn’t have many of the perks you do–no pool or library. Only a Hardee’s to eat at nearby. And my husband’s commute was killer. That’s why we moved back to the suburbs after our son was born–he wanted to spend more time at home with us and less on the road. I definitely enjoyed my days of being “out in the country,” though, even though they were short-lived.

It’s great when you’re not traveling an hour to get to work or 20 minutes to get groceries. Your time is used for more important activities, like enjoying your family and home. You are a small town spokesperson!
