Promote Marriage ~ Union 28 Marriage Apparel Sale

Union 28 Marriage Apparel is one of my very favorite small companies.  Sad statistics abound about the state of marriage in this day and age, and those of us in the minority (yep, traditional marriage is a minority!) need to be cute and be heard. 😉

Cute tees with a message that supports marriage?  I’m in!  They’ll be featured soon in our 2012 Christmas Gift Guide, but I didn’t want you to miss out on the Union 28 cyber savings in the meantime.

Look for my review and a giveaway of my favorite (guess it’ll be a positive review, huh?!) new Union 28 shirt coming soon!  Any guesses as to which one it is?

  1. I’m really sorry to hear that you don’t feel marriage can be shared by more than one man and one woman. I will be unsubscribing from all of your products because of your viewpoint. And if you feel that the Bible leads you to believe this way, I encourage you to do more reading and to understand that at many points in there, rape was sanctioned and marriage was illegal with slaves (who were sometimes of another race or religion or just poor), so unless you believe all of this, I would say you shouldn’t cite the Bible as a reason to keep this sacrament from those who desire to commit to one another (regardless of religion, race, or gender).

  2. This is Amy’s blog, and she can say what she wants. Last I knew, she has freedom of speech, too, same as you. She said “traditional marriage”, and I think we can all agree about what is meant by “traditional marriage”. It simply is what it is. You are free to unsubscribe from her products because of your viewpoint if you wish, same as she is free to have her viewpoint. I went back to re-read what she wrote, and I didn’t see anything where she even mentioned the Bible. If you have a problem with what the Bible says, please take that up with its Author, not Amy. It appears you have a chip on your shoulder. By the way, I know several same sex unions where they fuss and fight all the time. Sad state for their unions, too. Please don’t be so fuusy. It is certainly not the way to win others to your viewpoint. Thanks!

  3. I think it is a little misleading to call it a minority. Per the last census, married households were something like 48%. Yes that is less than half, but singles, widows/widowers, and co-habitants each make up a much much much smaller percentage.

  4. I just ordered my t-shirt! I’ll be proud to wear it. I went back to school at 40 and now attend a very liberal college near my home. I look forward to wearing my shirt and graciously explaining why my husband rocks if I’m asked. Actually mine should read “my husband is a saint and my 6 kids too for picking up the pieces while I’m in school all day”
