Pizza Braid Recipe

Homemade pizza is all the rage these days. We enjoy it, too, but this pizza braid fits the bill for a change up; it’s tasty, easy to prepare, and beautiful!  Serve slices with a salad and you have a lovely, fun meal for company or for family fun night.

  14. Thanks for the great idea. Looks so much easier than making individual calzones and so much prettier than plain ole pizza. I have done something similar with chili and cheese before, but not pizza toppings.

  29. I followed Laura’s link from Meal Plan Monday. I was planning to make homemade pizza Friday night, but I’ve decided to try this. It looks beautiful. Hopefully mine turns out something like it.

  30. What a neat idea. I saw your pretty picture on Org Junkie and had to come over to see the recipe since I can be adventurous at times. I just bought some Trader Joe’s whole wheat pizza dough and froze it, so I’ll have to try this soon. (Except I’ll “vegetarianize” the filling.)

  37. Oh my! That looks delicious (and easy!). I wonder….can this be frozen, then baked later? Say, if you just baked it to “set” it, then freeze it and bake later…thoughts? Thanks for re-sharing this!

    • I’ve never tried to freeze it then bake it. I think the dough would be fine, but it’s so big I’m not sure how I would get it all wrapped up for the freezer. Let me know if you try it!

    • I’m sure they would, Allison, but I’ve never tried. My pizza pockets have similar ingredients, though, and they freeze just fine.
