My children think they’ve hit the jackpot every time I serve up their lunch outside on the picnic table. And if we pack a lunch to take to the park? That’s a Finer Thing in their eyes! For a kid trip to the park I will probably keep it simple and pack peanut butter sandwiches, carrot sticks, apple slices, and cookies. For an “adults included” meal, something like this might make its way into our cooler:
- fried chicken strips or sandwiches
- baked beans with a kick
- deviled eggs
- tortilla roll ups
- angel food cookies

I’m looking forward to taking several picnics this summer. Those cookies look great! I think I saw them when you posted them before, thanks for the reminder.

I think we need to eat lunch at the park today.
I love outside picnics
Right now I am really into glass canning jars (with the lids!!) to tote drinks. They look so charming and are very durable!
I now have the answers to my questions – at last! Thank you for a great site. Gratefully, Beth
