Excuse the expression. And the angle. What’s it take to get a good photographer around here?! (Photo from last weekend ~ Pretty sure I was about 33 weeks. Hard to keep track with the fifth!)
I’ve made it no secret. Pregnancy is really pretty good to me. I feel icky in the first trimester, but I don’t throw up. I don’t swell. My hips hurt, and I’m way beyond sleeping well at night, but I have little to complain about, really.

Pregnancy at 37 has left me a little more tired and sluggish than earlier pregnancies. Of course, that might be the 4 children I’m already chasing or the 100°+ temps… but I have had one incredibly notable surprise. Before this pregnancy I had recently found myself plucking gray hairs at “alarming” intervals. Enough that I even considered dropping some cash for highlights (which I haven’t done since my sisters wedding 4 years ago).
It just dawned on me a few weeks ago that during pregnancy I have not noticed one gray hair! What in the world?! Is that a hormonal thing? A side effect of pregnancy? I have no idea. Maybe they’ll all come back once baby arrives? Who knows, but for now… no gray during pregnancy is a Finer Thing to be celebrated!
What Finer Things are you celebrating this week? Link up and let us know! (Did your hair change during pregnancy?)

I think I have 2 little strands of hair that are grey. I blame one on my husband and one of my daughter. lol
Left a comment about the joys of anticipating! Thanks for hosting!
You look great, Amy!
That is hilarious! I am so happy for you! You look awesome!
You look amazing! Maybe it’s just the angle, but you look super tiny for 33 weeks! I always looked like a whale by 6 months. But I grew very gradually, and didn’t have any huge growth spurts. I was showing by 7 or 8 weeks, even with my first!
It must be the angle and the black shirt.
Seriously? You have four children and one on the way? You look fantastic! I love what pregnancy does to hair. For both of my pregnancies I swelled and I ached – but I had FABulous hair lol! Now that you mention in, I think for me the graying process took a nine-month pause. great post.
I’m kind of scared that the graying will pick up full force times infinity after the baby arrives. Eeeek!
Wow, that is a great side effect! You look great!
I think you look like I did at 20 weeks!!
And, I’ve been surprised with this pregnancy that normally my hair gets very oily less than 24 hours after I wash it. Right now, it NEVER gets greasy! LOVE it!
I could do without the breakouts going on on my face, though.
Ah, yes. The skin doesn’t always fare so well.
I actually think I have more issues with hair and skin AFTER the baby arrives. Oh, the things we have to look forward to!
Sigh! Wish I could say the same, I am getting more grey roots by the day! It’s time to get another box of hair dye.
You look great!
Happy, slender Amy with another darling baby bump! I hope I look that good when it’s my turn.
Is that a maternity t-shirt or just a stretchy regular one?
It’s a maternity shirt, but they make them stretchy now. SO MUCH BETTER than the old “tent” style! (would love to see you before this baby comes!)
I shared my Make Your Own Fudge Pops recipe.
Congrats! Awesome hair is a finer thing!! I think my belly looks almost as big as yours and I’m only 8 weeks!!! You look great!
It must be the black shirt and the camera angle.
You look amazing, I was a cow with my fifth baby!
Curious what makeup you wear, if I remember you have
Freckles they are hidden with your makeup and your skin looks radiant.
Oh, you are much too kind. For the summer, I’ve been brushing on Bare Minerals foundation powder. It covers just enough without being too heavy (but you can still see the freckles close up).
I wouldn’t mind slowing down my gray hair that’s coming in, but not sure that for me pregnancy would be a trade…I wasn’t nearly as sick as some people, but I didn’t feel all that great a lot of the time.
You look great! The only thing I remember about my hair when I was pregnant was that it grew faster than when I wasn’t.
