One word: EASY! One more word: YUM! These classic cookies are a hit wherever I take them, which is wherever we have to go when I don’t have the time or the ingredients to make anything else!
No Bake Cookies
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 c. oatmeal (I use old fashioned)
- 5 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. peanut butter (I like chunky)
Mix butter, sugar, cocoa, and milk in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Boil for one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add cocoa, oatmeal, vanilla, and peanut butter. Mix well. Spoon onto wax paper. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
*I like to use my cookie scoop for a more uniform shape. I squash them a little after scooping.
*If you’re in a hurry, place the wax paper on a cookie sheet pan. After scooping, let the cookies set up in the fridge.

My hubby is the maker of this cookie at my house–it’s his specialty, and pretty much the only “sweet treat” he knows how to make!

I’ve been eating these delicious treats since I was a kid! Recently I just taught my tweens how to make them. We love them in all their chocolatey and peanut buttery goodness!

These sound good! Quick and healthy! I think I’ll be “sneaky” and try to add some flax seed in there too for added crunch…and other reasons! Thanks for the recipe!

Oh, we love these cookies! My MIL makes hers in a pan as bar cookies and that’s even easier. I used to love helping my mom make these when I was a little girl. Fun memories… thanks!

Oh yes! I love these, too. Been making them since I was a kid. They’re my go-to cookie because I always have the ingredients in the house. Sometimes I cut the peanut butter in half and add a little coconut — also very yummy.
