We’re getting used to the UPS and FedEx trucks stopping by a time or two each week with blogging stuff, but I have to say… this was the first time a cake has been delivered!

Bake Me a Wish sent this delicious carrot cake last week. It was beautifully packaged and nice and cold. Because my hubby is such a chocoholic, I don’t often indulge in my own favorites (except for my chocolate favorites). This, however, was a Mother’s Day Cake. Mom’s choice, and as you can see, I didn’t waste any time trying it out! The bite out of the edible “thank you” topper? Yup — I did that, too.
Moist, fresh cake. Rich cream cheese frosting. No slaving over the hot oven. What’s not to love?! Bake Me a Wish is a service I wouldn’t use often, since I live close to my family and love to bake. However, I teared up at some of the testimonials on their website. Wives sending birthday cakes to husbands in Iraq. Daughters sending cakes to moms 5 states away. Moms sending college students a “taste of home” when loneliness sets in. Best of all? Bake Me a Wish donates 5% of each order to charity. Most certainly a Finer Thing!
Are you drooling yet? I hope so, because Bake Me a Wish is offering a cake to one of my readers! I goofed and didn’t get this post up early enough to guarantee a Mother’s Day cake delivery. However, we’re still gonna try! This will be fast and furious: you have until tomorrow night to enter! I’ll draw a winner Tuesday, May 4, at 8pm CST. To enter, go to Bake Me a Wish and return here to tell me which cake you want.
If you’d like to help a girl out and promote this giveaway on Facebook or Twitter, go for it! Be sure to comment that you did, and you’ll get an extra (or two) entry.

WOW! How can you choose just one. I guess I would have to go with the Mississippi Mud. Chocolate usually wins out everytime!
What a great business idea! I’d love the Boston Creme Pie cake. It’s my husband’s very favorite, and it’s our 25th anniversary next week!

I’d like to have a Triple Chocolate Enrobed Brownie cake sent to my daughter. She’s a single mom with a 13 month old son. I love her and want to encourage her this Mothers Day. She’s been very discouraged lately. Thanks for an opportunity to do so with chocolate! SL

Peanut Butter Mousse Cake looks amazing!
I craved peanut butter and chocolate while I was pregnant and loved using that excuse during those 9 months and 2 days! We welcomed our daughter February 24th, 2010. I am so pumped for Mother’s Day as well as, baby dedication on Sunday.
Happy Mother’s Day!
Peanut Butter Mousse for sure! I think I’m going into a sugar coma just thinking about it!

The Mississippe Mud and Vanilla Bean cakes look amazing!!!
Yuuuummm….seriously, these look amazing! I would probably be trying to hide it from my husband
Of course, he would get some, but it would sure make up for the bed in breakfast that wasn’t, no card, no gift and it was my first Mother’s Day last year if I got this awesome cake. Actually, he did bring up some rolls I had made and a glass of water and told me he made me breakfast in bed….not exactly spoiling me, but at least I know he loves me all year long!
I would choose the Chocolate Mousse Torte cake…sounds wonderful!
Thanks,
Heather
