Menu Plan, Week of November 15

As I’m typing, my hubby has all three kiddos headed to town.  They’re on a mission – a birthday mission.  Pizza, ice cream, and a family movie are coming my way shortly.  🙂

Here’s what we plan to eat this week.

Sunday, November 15

  • scrambled eggs with cheese, blueberry muffins, bacon (yay for the cookin’ hubby!)
  • pizza, fruit and veggies
  • popcorn, candy bar milkshakes (with our movie)  The kids are stressin’ about not having company for “Mama’s Party” but all Mama wants is a good nap and a long family snuggle on this cool, rainy day.

Weekday Breakfasts

  • eggs (fried, scrambled) with toast or muffins, french toast, lazy granola, oatmeal with raisins, Cheerios with bananas

Weekday Lunches

  • leftovers, peanut butter honey sandwiches, grilled cheese, fruit/veggies, quesadillas

Suppertime

  • cheesy tuna noodle casserole, peas, applesauce
  • taco soup, cinnamon rolls
  • baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans
  • pan-fried tilapia, parmesan potato wedges, carrot sticks
  • creamy turkey bake (experiment – I’ll let you know if it turns out!), salad

Saturday, November 21

  • waffles, eggs, bacon
  • clean out the fridge
  • heading out to a birthday party

Posting my menu not only keeps me accountable, it ensures going into the week with a basic idea of what we’re going to eat.  Eliminating the last minute what’s for supper rush (not to mention all the money we save shopping from what we already have each week) is well worth the 30 minutes or so it takes to plan a week’s worth of meals.  If you’re ready to start menu-planning or just need new meal ideas, visit Menu Plan Monday over at Organizing Junkie.
