Our table last night. I won.
We love our involved, Tiny Town life, but goodness it was nice to have a quiet Friday night at home!

It’s raining today! That’s big news ’round these parts, and we’re celebrating with movies, games, and pizza. Then tomorrow we go from 63° to 38°, so soup it is!
Saturday
- oatmeal or homemade granola (It’s a travesty around here to not eat a big brunch, but we’re all out of eggs!)
- homemade pizza, carrot sticks and broccoli
- popcorn, healthy blender ice cream
Don’t forget to move your clocks forward before you go to bed tonight. Can’t believe it’s time for that again!

Sunday
- sausage, eggs, hashbrowns
- twice-baked potato soup
- leftovers, clean out the fridge
Weekday Breakfast Options
oatmeal with raisins, homemade granola cereal or granola/yogurt parfaits (my current obsession), eggs (fried or scrambled) with muffins or toast, french toast
Weekday Lunches
The kids and my husband usually eat a school lunch, but I’m trying to make myself eat a hearty salad every day. More veggies, fewer carbs. Trying. I actually really enjoy salads, I just don’t enjoy putting them together!
- greens, broccoli, cucumbers, carrots, hard boiled eggs, bacon, avocado, cheese, homemade ranch and croutons, sunflower kernels (not all of that at once
) - spinach, bacon, dried cranberries, walnuts, vinaigrette

Weekday Suppers
- grilled steak, baked potatoes, salad
- chicken fried rice, fresh fruit/veggies
- skillet enchiladas, salad, corn
- grilled hamburgers on homemade buns, oven fries
- breakfast for dinner ~ Waffles, eggs and fruit maybe?

I see 70′s in our 10 day forecast. Yipee! Spring is just around the corner. We’ve got a mixture of comfort foods and grilled foods this week. Can’t wait to see what next week (Spring Break for us) will bring!

Your little guy looks very upset in the picture.
And I know what you mean about salads…..LOVE them, hate putting them together! (I wondered if that made me lazy but I don’t think so, just don’t want to do all the work and then have no time to eat it).
Ha! Someone wanted OUR dominoes and not the ones daddy gave him to play with separately.
I love salads, too, but they’re just never as good when I make them at home!
Amen to not liking to put salads together! Sooo much chopping! I’m going to try bulk chopping this week. Maybe I’ll do enough for 3 days at a time or something like that. I don’t want things to get mushy, but I would like to be relieved of knife duty for a day or two.
Amy, my friend, I see some hens in your future. You would NEVER run out of eggs again.
This is the 3rd year we’ve owned our hens and they are laying queens! On Sunday, hubby had to go out to see if any had laid eggs for us to complete breakfast (eggs in a basket – my favorite). (PS – the only reason we ran out is because I have been selling some to pay for the price of their food.)
A coworker has a FoodSaver. He is able to make salads up for a week to bring into work. I have seen his salad after 5 days, and it still looks fresh and perfect.
I want to make sure my kids are all old enough for chicken chores. Ha! And good to know on the FoodSaver. So smart!
