Menu Plan, Week of June 12

I’m back!  (Did you know I was gone?)  I stopped menu planning here each week a few months ago because it seemed kind of boring and redundant to me.  “Who cares what I’m eating?” was my rationale.

Well, apparently, some of you do!  Actually, I don’t think you care so much what I’m eating, but you do care about what your own family is eating, and if my menu plans are helpful in any way, well then let’s do this!  I’m actually much more thorough with the plan when I post it here, so that helps my family, too!

We’re in the middle of the crazy wheat harvest/softball and t-ball games/uncertain eating schedule days, so the following will likely not come to full fruition.  But you know what?  By having it ready, and having all the food items at my house, I can switch and change and rearrange all week if and when I need to.  That is the benefit of writing out a menu plan!

Breakfasts

“Big” meal of the day

“Snacky” meal of the day

We should be able to eat zucchini and lettuce from the garden this week!  I’m still staring at my pepper plants every day… looking forward to fajitas!  Are you eating out of your garden yet?

    What are pumpkin pie potatos? sound great! share the recipe!

    • It’s basically a sweet potato casserole that my children think tastes like pumpkin pie. 🙂 I’ll share it this fall!

  2. Yum! I love your “big meal”/”snacky meal” break down- so perfect for those summer days. Hope you enjoy the oatmeal! 🙂

    • We DID enjoy the oatmeal! But my 3yo… she quickly picked out the chocolate before it could melt, and then asked for more. It didn’t work. And then she was mad. {sigh}

  3. Glad your back, it’s always great to get new ideas of what others are eating. Thanks for including the sticky chicken menu item, a fave of ours. I’d love to see the recipe for the pumpkin pie potatoes, sounds yummy!

    • It’s basically a sweet potato casserole, but my kids think it tastes like pumpkin pie, so we go with it! I’ll get around to posting it, eventually… 😉

  4. Your menu plan looks great. We just love grilled pork chops. Thank you for sharing and have a great week!
