I’ve really done it now. With last night’s delicious Valentine’s Day supper of Aussie Chicken, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Peanut Butter Brownie Trifle, I’ve given up any reason for Lance to take me out to eat ever again. He said that mine tasted better than The Outback’s. Oh, well… now I know I can have my favorite restaurant food at home whenever the mood strikes! Thanks, Sherry!
Here’s what we’re eating this week.
Sunday, 2/15
- buttermilk pancakes with bananas foster sauce (tried this for the first time this morning ~ so delicious!)
- chicken and black bean nachos
- An array of unhealthy snacks and desserts as we made our rounds to the farm, and my grandparents, and a couple of aunts and uncles… it was late and no one was hungry when we got home tonight.
Weeknight Suppers
- chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans
- ham sandwiches, fruit, snacks for ballgame
- spaghetti casserole from freezer (made it last week, but we didn’t eat it) sweet corn, homemade bread)
- Lentil Rice Casserole (new to me, but I know Phoebe won’t steer me wrong)
- last home ballgame of the season; we’ll either eat leftovers before we head out or take some sandwiches with us
Saturday, 2/21
- waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon
- clean out the fridge
- pizza braid
Be sure to visit Org Junkie for hundreds of meal planning ideas.

I am definitely going to have to try that pizza braid – maybe I will make mine that way instead of the Stromboli I am planning to make.
Everything sounds good. I will be adding the pizza braid to my list of things to try.
Your menu looks yummy! Thanks for the many links.
The only reason we ever eat out is to give me a break in the kitchen or if my husband and I want to be alone:-)
Sounds delicious – I’ll have to give the Aussie Chicken a try!
