*** GIVEAWAY CLOSED***
Who wants to join me in an experiment? When I was contacted in January to try Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy, I immediately thought two things:
- I never get stretch marks. {dodging rotten tomatoes}
- No one knows I’m pregnant yet! {Hmmmm}
It was when I saw a photo of the product, just released in March, that I thought it might be worth a try.
Can you see the bottom line on that bottle? You can’t? Allow me to read it for you:
Enhances Softness.
Friends, I have dry skin. During pregnancy, my poor belly itches terribly from all the growing and stretching all. the. time. So, if Mederma’s offering, I’ll give it a try!

So far during my pregnancy I have been blessed and have not gotten stretch marks on my belly however I’m afraid I can’t say the same for my breasts.
I don’t know if I’ll be sporting a two piece this summer or not. I only have 2 more weeks left in my pregnancy (hopefully) and I fear to moment my milk supply comes in!
I’ve got plenty of stretch marks for the both of us!! Ha!!
After a lifetime of loving chocolate a little too much AND having a baby, I think I’m a lost cause. I would love to win this and see if can work magic.
um, i have them. lots. lots. everywhere. lots. marks on top of marks, finger tips wide. did i say lots? nothing this side of surgery will help me.
BUT my sweet daughter is prego and has 2 …so i want her to try it.
Hey, I’ve had three children, and the stretch marks are still there, sister. I’d love to give this a whirl and see if it really works.
I would love to try this out. I got some stretch marks at the end of my pregnancy with Katie, and now that baby #2 is on the way, I’d like to avoid getting more!
Yep, I have them. Getting pregnant with my second when my first was only 5 months old… That’ll do it. Would love to try the experiment with you!
Ah, yes. I have them. They started showing up around week 28…and continued to show until I gave birth. Hoping they’ll diminish with time…? But then, of course, I’ll have another baby! Hehe.
I’ve had stretch marks on my upper thighs since I was a teenager, although I have always been very thin (I was only about 5 pounds thinner then than I am now). I guess they are from growing?!
I escaped my pregnancy largely unscathed, but stretch marks around my belly button appeared AFTER I delivered. The skin around my belly is loose and appears pretty wrinkly. I also have diastasis recti, a separation of the abdominal muscles, which doesn’t help because the area behind my belly button has no muscle. Literally, if I lay down, you can press your fingers down on my belly button and they will go down into my belly, along with my belly button and loose skin. So, yes! I would love to try this product! I actually saw a commercial for it last night and thought: “THAT is the product for me!” So I hope I win!
Unfortunately, with baby #4 due in a little over a month, I have developed lots and lots of stretch marks. No fun at all! This would definitely be worth a try for me.
Would love to try this! All through my first pregnancy I thought I was lucky and not getting stretchmarks because they didn’t show up until after the baby was born- talk about disapointment! I got more during my second pregnancy…but if it helps, count me in!
With my first one I didn’t get any until the last month or so. Then it looked like I got a flame tatoo up around my belly button (where _were_ those flames coming from?!).
a year later they have faded a bit. Definitely battle scars though.
I’m on baby #2, and no stretch marks yet (at least on my belly)! However, I am with the earlier commenter because the “girls” always grow right along with my belly and they have not escaped without stretch marks. I also understand the dry skin and itchy stomach, so this lotion sounds great.
I didn’t get any while pregnant, it seemed. I just couldn’t see them! With 3 weddings this year and many trips to the shore planned this would be awesome! If I win I’ll even submit (modest) before/after pics.
I have had stretch marks on my inner thighs since college. I stopped running after high school, and I guess that’s when the stretch marks snuck in. They’re deep, and red, and some are purple. It looks like someone has dug into my skin with a knife. Not. Pretty. At. All.
After my last pregnancy, they’ve shown up on my outer thighs/hips. Not as deep, but still red and you can still feel them.
I’ve always used cocoa butter. Since high school. So I know some people swear by it, but it doesn’t work for me.
I’ve never really thought about doing anything about the stretch marks… But maybe this would be something to try?
Since I was a teenager I got huge stretch marks on my thighs and lower back. I would love to try to get those off me. I hate them.
I have tons of stretch marks on my belly. 2 pregnacies in 2 years = stretch marks and 30lbs of extra weight
Oh my. I am 39 weeks pregnant, and maybe two months in I got stretch marks across my thighs where I also got them as a teenager. They came back instantly. Luckily my tummy has been spared, but my thighs and lower back haven’t been. So a treatment would be wonderful. Mercifully I haven’t been all that concerned with them, but getting rid of them or minimizing them would be great.
I’m on pregnancy #3 – #1 gave me horrible stretch marks on my legs – 5 years later, they are STILL there. But at least nothing on my tummy… until #2. Now I have some pretty bad stretch marks on my tummy, and I used Cocoa Butter the entire time.
My “girls” have never escaped though.. I went from a Barely A to a DD during my first pregnancy – you don’t go through that without some evidence remaining!
I knew I’d get stretch marks before I even got pregnant…and unfortunatley I was right. Our first baby is due in eight weeks and I have quite a few of the yucky little marks on my belly. Of course my sweet husband swears up and down that I’m still just as beautiful as before I got pregnant.
Stretch marks…ugh. Someone asked me about stretch marks toward the end of my first pregnancy. i confidently announced that I didn’t have any. Later, I caught a glimpse of myself in a full length mirror, and I realized that they were just all on the under side of my belly, so I couldn’t see them from the top! LOL! Let’s just say that after carrying 2 more babies, and having polyhydramnios (abnormally high amniotic fluid levels) with the second, I have plenty of stretch marks to go around. I always think it’s interesting how God made some of us more elastic than others. I just happen to be on the non elastic end of the whole thing.
No babies yet but I have stretchmarks due to my weight gain.
I SOOOO need this! I got horrible stretch marks from my first pregnancy. Second one wasn’t so bad, but I’ve got at least one more pregnancy still to go, although we haven’t started on that one yet!
unfortunately i have not been blessed in this area. i got stretchmarks from the belly button down with my first pregnancy. i didnt get any with my 2 subsequent pregnancies, but the damage has already been done. even though i have gotten back into shape with a “flat” stomach, the skin is very wrinkly and is obviously still separated from the stretchmarks
ill try anything!!!!!
Thanks to some luck and a LOT of cocoa butter lotion I escaped stretch marks with my first pregnancy. However, I was not so diligent with the lotion during my second pregnancy and that bought me a nice little set of purple lines on my tummy. I hope I win your giveaway! If not, I’ll probably give this stuff a try anyway.
Stretch marks? Oh yeah, I’ve got ‘em. I got ‘em as a teenager when I hit a growth spurt! I wonder if this will work on old stretch marks.
Stretch marks are a myth to me. lol. 5 months into my first pregnancy and I still [am in denial] don’t believe they exist. I’d certainly take the added softness… and, I suppose be prepared just in case they are actually real.
I’ve had 5 kids so I know all about stretch marks on top of stretch marks. What a sad day it was when I saw the first little red lines of a new one on top of the big purple lines of the old one. But I do have some wonderful kids so I won’t complain too much!
Not toooo bad thus far…
Can’t say this is something I’m happy to have a need for, but I’d still really like to try it! I was definitely cursed with many, many stretch marks – made it through 30 weeks and then I swear they just showed up one morning! Then they multiplied, had their own babies, had a party, you get the idea. I would love to try this!
My high weight was 286 during my 4 pregnancies. I’m now down to 250 – with lots more to lose, but if I could lose the stretch marks along the way – that would be wonderful !
I did get stretch marks with my son…. I would really love it if they went away or weren’t so obvious!
I was actually looking for Mederma at Target and couldn’t find any. I just had a baby 4 weeks ago and my belly is nasty looking!
I have two kiddos and got stretch marks with both, RIGHT at the end. And bad. Ugh. I was so happy I made it through the first pregnancy with none! Then I had the baby, looked in the mirror at the hospital and saw the horror of stretch marks on the part of my belly I couldn’t see for the last few weeks! With the second I got them right at the end as well but higher up so I knew they were there… So now I’ve got a belly covered in streaks! I’ll take though, my babes are worth it.
I wouldn’t mind if the maderma helped them go away though
I just delivered my 3rd son on St. Patrick’s Day…and unfortunately, I three pregnancies worth of stretch marks
I have been wanting to buy this after seeing the commericials, but haven’t wanted to spend the $. This would be a great treat!
I just had my first baby 5 months ago, and I have lots of stretch marks on my belly. At 1 month until my due date, I had two marks; they all popped up in the last two weeks of my pregnancy.
I’d love to win.
I had TWINS 9 years ago and I have the mother load of stretch marks. Being just over 5 feet tall mine made it all the way to my chest! My skin ripped and bleed even though I used so much lotion every day. I am happy that I had a healthy 7lb boy and 5lb 8oz girl but my body will never be the same. Short people just can’t stretch that far.
My first pregnancy I only got a few stretch marks but then I got pregnant again 6 months after my first baby and I gained a ton of weight and ended up getting a few more on my thighs and bottom. I would love to give this product a try!
I have so many stretch marks that my kids say I look like a tiger. I first got them when I was eighteen and pregnant with my first baby. My baby passed away at three months and followed by depression, I only gained more weight without losing any of the maternity weight…. giving me even more marks. I had two more children after that, and I am 33 weeks pregnant and would love to have something help fade all these lines!
I didn’t get any stretch marks until the last few weeks of my third pregnancy
I plan to get pregnant hopefully sometime around next summer and getting stretch marks is one of the things I am terrified of! I have COVERED my ENTIRE body in lotion EVERY SINGLE DAY since I was 18 years old, in the vain attempt to stave over those dreaded pregnancy stretchmarks! However, I was recently told by a friend that my ritualistic slathering will more than likely do nothing to save my birthday suit!
Oh, you’re so lucky! I got horrible stretch marks all over my stomach when I was pregnant with my son, and I’m dreading their return now that I’m expecting baby #2. Good thing kids are worth the battle scars!
I just had my first baby in October and was ultra diligent about using lotion on my belly to prevent stretch marks. While my stomach made it through with very few marks, my thighs, hips and breast took a real beating! I’m not looking forward to swimsuit weather…
My poor abdomen looks like a roadmap. I’m happy to try anything that might reduce these stretch marks. Especially since I’d love to have more children, and with that will most definintely come more stretching. It would be great to test out a product now!
Thanks!
{Throwing tomatoes with both hands} Yup, I have them. I went through most of my pregnancy not able to see them due to how most of the mirrors in our house are situated and once I could see them… yipes. Thanks for the chance. (And just be glad I wasn’t using the FROZEN tomatoes…)
When I got pregnant with my son, stretch marks never crossed my mind. I just wanted my little boy in my arms. He is now sixteen months old and while I will never wear a two piece bathing suit, my stretch marks are simply a sign of my love for my son. I haven’t tried anything to help them, but I would definitely give this a shot!
During my first pregnancy, I didn’t get one stretch mark!! I am 6 months into my 2nd and so far, so good….however, I am getting soooo much bigger this time so I’m not so sure I’ll be as lucky as the first time.
I was sooooo super proud that I didn’t have stretch marks with Libbie … until I was 37 weeks. Then they popped up like the plague. I have cried many a tear over them, but hey, what can you do?
And yes, I was also insanely itchy with her! There were times I was in the car and crying because I wanted to get home and rip my clothes off!
Yes, stretch marks…I’ve got them and I’m about to get a whole lot more, I think.
I have the kind of skin (and extra weight) that means I’ve always had some. I got pregnant with Little Guy and just added a few to the top of my belly during the last week or so of pregnancy. They were really red and yucky looking, but have faded a bit and I just didn’t think about them. I only gained about 12 pounds during the entire pregnancy (enough extra to start with!) and about 6 of that was the last two weeks, so it made sense to add a few new ones. Now Baby 2 is still about 7 weeks off or so and I’m already the size I was with Little Guy at delivery. You know what that means? It means a whole lot of new ugly stretch marks will probably be making an appearance. I’m totally ready to try anything…within reason!
And really, the itchiness is crazy…all the stretching makes me scratch a bunch too!
Heather
I avoided them until the last couple of weeks of my pregnancy and then got lots. I would love to win this!
With baby #1 I developed Pre-eclampsia resulting in tremendous water weight gain (about 8 lbs in 1 day). My fingers were so swollen they had to cut my wedding ring off. As you can imagine, I have tons of stretch marks – tummy, butt, thighs.
Is there a place I don’t have stretch marks!?!?
Okay not every where. Just thighs, side of knees, and belly. I expect them on my belly though that is what 10 pound babies do to a belly! I am 14 weeks right now with baby #6 but I do not think anymore stretch marks are possible. I hope…
I have 2 kids and I hate what they did to my body!!! agghh! Mostly in the form of stretch marks.
I would love to see what this stuff could do for me!! thanks for the giveaway
Two babies and so far just a few light stretch marks on my lower abdomen. Doesn’t mean I won’t get more with number three, though. Yikes! I hate to even think about it. My skin does, like yours, get super dry and ITCHY, particularly in the last couple of months.
I have stretch marks on my arms and stomach…hate it…they seem to be going away not as fast as I would like. I would love to try this!
I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and would love to give some of this stuff a try. My skin is in need!
I’m 25… no kids… not fat (5 foot 7 and 150 lbs..) … and already have stretch marks!! what’s up with that?
I was lucky enough to get stretch marks on my stomach with my first pregnancy, and now that I am on my third I’ve pretty much resigned myself to getting more. I don’t expect a product to get rid of them, but I’m with you; my skin is so dry and itchy that I am miserable! (Especially now that it is getting hotter!) I would love to try something that would help with the pregnancy rash I get!
I’m also pregnant with #4 and would love to win this to prevent getting any stretch marks this time around!
I’ve stretch marks AND very dry skin. I would love to try – thanks for the opportunity.
OMG! I so JUST saw a commercial for this stuff and wanted to try it it! I totally did well with the stretch marks until the last month or so of my pregnancy. Then my baby decided to be two weeks late and be over 9 lbs …..hello stretch marks : ( I do my best to see them as a badge of honor…but they are embatrassibg….I would LOVE to see if this stuff works!
I’ve heard stretch marks are mostly inherited, so if your moms got them, you’ll most likely too. I’d love to try this with baby number two on the way, don’t want to get more! And you are soo blessed to not have any! You go!
I have some from high school and from losing and gaining weight over the years. No babies yet (hopefully very soon)! So I would love to have this cream in my arsenal for prep!
I unfortunately gained entirely too much weight in my first pregnancy and got stretch marks all over my legs, butt and lower back! Now I am pregnant with my second and I am hoping to avoid any more although I don’t know why cause I am already permanently damaged!
Babies #1 and #2 have given me plenty of stretch marks. Now, with baby #3, I haven’t yet gotten any new stretch marks but it’s early yet (only 18 weeks). I would love to give this a try – it seems my own children have had their own way of leaving their marks on me!
I have quite a few stretch marks from gaining and losing weight. Would love to try and diminish them.
I didn’t get any stretch marks the first time around, but had the same experience you did with a dry, itchy belly. I’d love to try this now that I’m pregnant again and see if it would help!
I read about this in a magazine the other day and the lady who tested it said it really worked!
I hear its all about genetics and if it is it make sense that me and my mom both have awful stretch marks. That cocoa butter mess did not help one bit.
I have the WORST stretch marks ever! After 4 kids( each one adding their mark on me) I would love to try something to decrease and soften my marks.
Thanks for doing this giveaway.
I would love to try this. I got stretch marks sooooo bad with m first. I was very self concious about them. The nurse helped that whole situation out by saying “That is the worst case of stretch marks I’ve ever seen.” So I would love this! Thanks for the giveawway!
I had stretch marks before getting pregnant, but now after having my daughter they are really really bad!! They look more like scars. Trying to get pregnant with baby #2..
I would LOVE to try this product. I am pregnant now with the 4th. My belly is a mess with stretch marks. Whats even worse is that my identical twin sister has three kids and never got a single stretch mark. Not Fair. Guess we aren’t so identical after all. Would love to win the giveaway. Might have to try the product anyway.
I would LOVE to try this! I have had stretch marks for 26 years–ugh!
I’m just over half way through my first pregnancy, and am just starting to get stretch marks in other places besides my belly right now
I’ve always wondered if the creams work, but don’t want to spend a fortune on them!! Would love to see if this works, especially with having dry skin, too!
Ugh…stretch marks…my nemesis. When I was pregnant with my first child I developed horrible stretch marks on my stomach. They looked like purple canyons because I was so big. I hoped that they would go away…but they didn’t. With my second pregnancy they were not as bad as the first because I didn’t get as big. However, now with my third pregnancy the stretch marks look like they are going to be worse than the first. Seeing them makes me feel very insecure and unattractive.
Oh I’d love to try this! I’m pregnant with our first (20 weeks) and don’t think I’ve gotten any new ones. I had a few on my hips from growing when I was young and I’m so afraid of getting them on my stomach. We shall see I guess!
@Kim Kauffman,
Congrats! I’m 19 weeks on Monday!
Me, too!
I too have lots of stretch marks both in the stomach and the breasts. I fear I am a lost cause, but my daughter is have baby number 4 and this would be a super fantastic gift for her.
My mom and sister both got terrible stretch marks with their pregnancies. I decided I was going to do everything possible to keep them from appearing! I did some research and found that ingredients like petroleum and mineral oil will not absorbs into your skin (sorry but Palmer’s is full of this stuff) and therefore any cocoa butter will also not be absorbed.
I searched everywhere for a natural stretch mark cream and a mom in one of my pregnancy classes recommended TUMMY BUTTER by SPOILED MAMA. It is hard to get- I mean you can only find it online unless you live in California. I bought a small jar because I wanted to see if it worked (and it is a lil expensive $27- but totally WORTH IT!). I have been using this since early on and swear by it. I also bought some for Christmas to help fade my sis stretch marks and so far so good.My OB even said that it was safe during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
I also make sure that I drink plenty of H2O and take Omega 3′s daily to hydrate my body from the inside. My OB also mentioned that hot showers can be very drying so stay away and not to put soap on your tummy unless visibly dirty since many soaps containing drying ingredients. Good luck!!!
I’d LOVE to try this! I’ve had stretch marks since I was a teenager and just recently got more (lucky me! :-\) from weight gain! I think this just might work!
Sadly, I’ve never been preggo but I still have stretch marks!!
Oh my, do I have stretch marks! Our poor old mommy bodies!
i would like to try
Yep. Got ‘em. All over my upper thighs, but none on my belly. After my pregnancy, they faded to white and nearly invisible, but now that I’m pregnant with #2, they’re making a comeback. Would love to see if the cream works miracles.
I had two babies in 18 months and had horrible swelling with my first…and developed the dreaded stretch marks. Most of them have faded to white/white-ish pink…but they are still pretty noticeable (to me at least). Anything that would help them soften/blend with the rest of my skin would be a blessing!
I did get stretch marks when I was pregnant with my son, and I’m sure I’ll get more this time too! Same as you, my belly gets really itchy (haven’t hit it yet though), so would love to try anything to relieve that!
I would try anything to reduce the appearance of my stretch marks. In addition I have dry skin and would love to give this a try for my skin. Thank you for the giveaway.

So far, so good for me….but I’m only 19 weeks! I’ve been slathering myself with cocoa butter every other day since I hit 4 months, so I’m hoping that will help, but I would LOVE to try this little experiment out with you!
I have stretch marks from my pregnancies. My mother has them, even my 16 year old daughter has them from her little growth spurt….we must be very suceptible! I don’t know if it will help older ones but would love to try!
I’ll be honest and the odd one out–I have stretch marks and not from kids, just from life. Weight goes down, weight goes up, life happens, right? I would love to have something actually lessen or get rid of them though~!
How perfect! Just found out I am pregnant. This is my first baby, so lots of stuff to learn, but also want to start taking preventative measures against those sneaky stretch marks!
Wow, if this stuff worked on my TONS of stretch marks I could be the Mederma spokesperson. I must have really unelastic skin. I have tons of stretch marks on my stomach from all 4 of my pregnancies (though I think most were from my first.) I’ve got them on my legs too.
I got stretch marks with my first born son. Only I didnt know it until after I delivered!!! Second son, a few more. Third son, a few more. Fourth son the stretch marks began expanding but no new ones. Fifth, first daughter, no new ones!! Sixth, son, no new ones. I sure would love to make them look less visible!!
I have stretch marks on my bottom, hips, and boobs. Save me!
I’m 20 weeks pregnant and is worried about stretch marks – my mom had some when she was pregnant so I need to figure out what I’m going to start using to maybe combat this!
Does it have any post-pregnancy benefits?
My stretch marks (mostly from preggo #2) are deep/wide/purple. Would love to try ANYthing to help!
Thanks for the opportunity!
You could get to California from Maryland if you follow all my stretch marks!!
After 2 kids, I have lost over 100 pounds and kept it off for 2 years. I have stretch marks on my thighs. I would love to try this product. Thank you
Out of four children, my first son just ripped my skin up. I ended up with stretch marks to just below my bra band line. Ugh. I haven’t found anything that has helped with my ugly stretch marks.
I have dark stretch marks from my recent pregnancy (my son is 5 months old). I tried using cocoa butter while pregnant, but didnt have much luck. They are starting to fade a little, but I am really self-conscious of them. I would love to try this product!
Im not sure if this is too late but I would love to try this product! I have been wanting to try this.. I have tried everything exfoliation, cocoa butter, vitamin E etc and nothing seems to truly leave me amazed at the results… My stretchmarks are HORRIBLE..on my stomach, butt, behind my knees, and on my breasts and arms :/ I have just recently had my first baby but have had stretchmarks on my stomach since I was 8 yes… 8!! I hit a groth spurt and have never been able to wear a bikini with confidence and I would so love to see if maybe this is my miracle in a bottle!
Thanks
