76° outside, and I was sweating in the stale air of the kitchen, over a sink full of dirty dishes. Trying to get some things cleaned up, kids dressed in team spirit gear, game snacks packed, weight of the world bearing down on my sweaty shoulders. Why is it so hot in here?!
Then I looked up.
Duh. Turn the ceiling fan on.
Immediate relief in something as simple as a switch.
It has to give God a chuckle. How often do I remain unnecessarily uncomfortable, locked in my own fears, worries, task list…. before I seek His simple, obvious solution?
Look up!

Yep. I’m right there with you girl. I was wondering why I was getting sweaty today and suddenly realized I hadn’t opened any windows! You are sooo right. I stay fretting in my worries and forget to look up to Him all too often.

I thought how true that is, and a lesson I need to apply!

on one of the local radio stations, as the DJs are signing off they say “Keep Looking Up, Cuz That’s Where It All Is!” …so true. i remind myself of this often in a spiritual sense, and i also use it when my daughter is in the bath and i need her to literally LOOK UP so i can rinse the shampoo out
