What’s working for me this week?  The gorgeous Kansas weather!  We spent this 75° afternoon and evening at a high school track meet, cheering on our favorite athletes.

Reading inspiring thoughts and new-to-me ideas from some of my favorite bloggers also works for me.  Check out these great posts!

  1. JessieLeigh’s thoughts on baby gender had me nodding in agreement and remembering some well-intentioned  comments during my third pregnancy.
  2. Kate’s Butter Pecan Banana Waffles gave me a gut ache on Sunday… because I ate way too many of them!  If we ever own our dream bed and breakfast, you can bet these waffles will be on the menu!
  3. Seems that Jen and I have more in common than our faith:  we were both perfect parentsbefore we had children.
  4. Stephanie’s guest post at The Happy Housewife reminded me to be more, instead of trying to do more.  Multitasking isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
  5. FishMama’s Gramma John knows her chocolate chip cookies.  We made some (and ate several!) this morning.  I think it’s the oil/butter combo and the cream of tarter that make them different.  Good stuff!

Thanks for the link to the cookie recipe.
I am definitely going to try this one out.
I have trouble with my choc chip cookies here for a couple of reasons. It gets too hot for the butter, and the batter melts. When I put it in the fridge in between batches, it gets too hard.
And, butter is sinfully expensive here. Love the chance to cut down on the expenditure.
Thanks for the fun links!
