I love this dessert best with lemon. We grew up calling it "Delicious Lemon Dessert". It makes me want to make this instead of cheesecake as planned!

We call it "Chocolate Yummy"!! I guess it's a location thing!! A variation of it uses graham cracker crust and/or also a layer of vanilla pudding, you just have to let whichever you put first set for a minute before you pour the other pudding on top!!! That is the way I LOVE it!!! Probably 1 of my favorite desserts!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My momma made this for us over 30 years ago and we called it "Chocolate Nut Dessert". When we moved to Georgia, we found out some call it "Yum Yum" and others make it with Butterscotch pudding instead of chocolate. Either way it's so good! It's the best when served the next day (my favorite part is when the chocolate pudding mixes into the layers. Makes it look like another layer even thought it's not!)

When you are making the crust, are the nuts to be chopped up or ground up. Planning on making these for thanksgiving. What type of nuts do you recommend?

@Alana, Yes ~ 9x13 pan. You can cut it into 12 BIG pieces, or go 16 for more. Sometimes we don't cut it at all. Just let people scoop it up with a spoon.
