Our Halloween road trip through southern Kansas, along highway 160, prompted me to take these quick pics. Yes, we’re in Kansas!

  4. This reminds me of our trips out west as a kid. . . memories! I wish that I had a digital camera back then. . I think my pictures must all be lost in a box in an attic somewhere. Great pics!

    Very nice. I grew up in Kansas and I mis the scenery. Sigh. Yep — it’s Kansas in the fall. I can just smell the burning leaves and the morning frost!

    I never knew that Kansas had this type of landscaping. I always thought it was flat and green. Silly me.

    i drove through the entire state of kansas once, and i loved it!!!! i remember all the wheat fields, something that a NYer doesn’t see often!

    I am a SW Kansas girl…and grew up right on 160! These pics remind me of “home”. Thanks! Currently living in GA, but forever KS will reign! Nothing like those sunsets and sunrises….
