June Clutter Update

Clutter?  What clutter?!

Gah!  I don’t know where the month of June went, but it certainly wasn’t spent on my Clutter Project!

Oh wait, I do know how it was spent… one week teaching Vacation Bible School, 6 t-ball games, 4 softball games, harvest, a swim meet (I was the “picker”), a birthday party, two days of convenience food freezer cooking, an Oklahoma road trip for bunk beds, and several trips to the pool.

Truly, it’s amazing my family got fed, my dishes got washed, and my bathroom got cleaned.  At all.

I have no other excuses; I simply didn’t work on the clutter. There’s always July, right?

2010 total:  (still) 318

Any one else having clutter trouble this summer?  I’ll get back to it… eventually. If you’re just now joining in, find the details here.  At the rate I’m going, I’m sure you’ll catch up in no time!  😉

  1. Thanks so much for hosting this linky! I can’t believe it’s already July! How exactly did that happen?

  2. I did some at the beginning of the month, but I have slacked since then… I wanted to get into the basement and that just didn’t happen.

  3. Thank you for hosting. I keep trying to do more and more every month!

  4. Wow, you were really busy during June! I hope your July is nice and relaxing.

    Major accomplishments for June decluttering:
I tidied up the front of the fridge! It’s not chaos anymore, but there are still some comic strips and the plethora of anxiously waiting-to-be-useful magnets. Best of all: There is room for the monthly menu!

Oh and we got rid of extra baby/misc. things – threw some away and gave the rest to a neighbor that was doing a yard sale.

Problem is….I still don’t have any extra room…how did that happen???

  6. I’m late in posting but had success in getting rid of STUFF last month. I’m so glad you do this. It keeps my motivation up.

  7. I love the motivation and group effort!
Further inspiration: take a BEFORE photo. When you are in the trenches and then step back, sometimes your progress is obvious, but sometimes you forgot what it started out looking like. Looking at the Before photo will make you feel productive and proud! A sure way to keep yourself going on to the next room.

    Party on, de-clutterers!
