Alyssa’s got a good thing going on over at Kingdom First Mom for the month of November. I’m joining in, and want to invite you to do the same.
Thirty days of giving!
Each and every one of us has something to give, and I firmly believe that it’s impossible to be out-given. God’s blessings always come “right back at’cha”, usually in ways that cause much wonderment and renewed faith.
What do you have to give this month? How about…
- extra bargains from your stockpile for the local food pantry
- a couple of hours of free babysitting so new parents can enjoy a night out
- a new toy that’s been sitting in your gift closet for a few years – give to the Angel Tree or Toys for Tots
- make and deliver a meal to a new mom
- rake up the leaves in a neighbor’s yard
- offer to wash the windows of an elderly friend’s house
- clean out your closets, donate to GoodWill
- put a few more dollars in the church offering this month
- invite a “new-to-the-neighborhood” family over for supper
- have the kids make and mail cards to far away relatives
- put together a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child
- send a box of non-perishable treats to a soldier fighting for our freedom
The options are endless! I challenge you to give, and to be reminded of all that’s been given to you.

Great suggestions, Amy! You are so right, we cannot possibly out-give God. And giving is definitely a finer thing, don’t you agree?
So glad my button matches your blog…heh. Thanks so much for joining in!
Amy, thanks for sharing this. I’m going to take this challenge & see what we come up with!
Great ideas–thanks! I was so blessed by a woman who bought my groceries one day (wrote a post about it) that I thought it would be great to shop under budget for a while and buy some $10 giftcards with the extra $$ to give to people who could use them! Babysitting for couples is another great idea.
This is such an awesome idea!!!
I’m in…something tells me, I am the one who will end up blessed!
@carla, Just wait till I write about “Day 1.” We were TOTALLY the ones blessed!
