saw your dessert post on the dessert recipe swap and stopped by. i swear by naso pure, which is the same idea of neti pot, but more travel/kid friendly. it’s plastic, dishwasher safe, and you don’t have to tip your head. me, hubby and both boys each have one and i couldn’t survive allergy season, or tot with constant colds without them.

Um… I’m not brave enough. I have my own sinus/congestion issues but my gag reflex fear out weighs it! LOL

Good to know! I saw Dr. Oz talk about one of these on Oprah YEARS ago, but I’ve never tried one. Might just have to! And I do love the idea of it being more natural.

I don’t have a neti pot, but I do a saline rise through my nose when I get sick. For your readers who can’t get a pot or need it now, here is what I do. I have one of those blue baby booger suckers. I put about a 1/2 cup of warm water in cup. Put a little salt in and dissolve. I usually do it in the shower because it’s easier not to get it all over myself, but it especially good if doing it for the first time. Tilt your head back slightly and to the side. Fill clean booger sucker, insert into the nose and squeeze. If the water is going down your throat tilt your head forward a little more. it is supposed to come out the other side of the nose. It will probably sting a bit. Repeat once a day for at least 3 days.
