Talk about saving the weekend! If I can’t breathe through my nose, I can’t sleep. No mouth breathing for me. It just doesn’t work. When I woke up in our hotel room with a dry mouth and a completely stuffy nose at 4 a.m. last weekend, I momentarily thought our anniversary getaway was headed south at a rampant pace.
But never fear, NasaFlo is here! Lance tossed it in the suitcase right before we left, just in case he’d need it. This little blue neti pot has become a hero in our home, earning its status when my dear hubby ceased waking me with his obnoxious snoring. No more snoring with the NasaFlo… wah-hoo!
At 4:00 in the morning, with my options limited to an overdose of Afrin or playing “I’m a little teapot” through my nose, I opted to try the Nasaflo. Without getting too, um, graphic… pouring saline rinse into one nostril and out the other (it took a few tries and lots of nose blowing to get a good flow going) is a fantastic drug-free way to get things loosened up! Lucky for you I didn’t video my clumsy middle-of-the-night self, but if you want to see NasaFlo in action, you can go here.
I am so grateful that Lance’s NasaFlo tagged along with us over the weekend. It cleared the problem without masking it with unnecessary medication. It ousted the mucus-laden cold demons that threatened to derail our romantic getaway. After tackling the mucus with the Nasaflo, I was able to breathe, which meant I was able to sleep, which meant I was able to enjoy the weekend. We were both grateful for that!
For a drug-free solution to your stuffy nose, sinus, allergy, cold, and snoring issues… try the NasaFlo!

I have heart lots of great things about this!
I’ve seen this and even been recommended to use one, but I can’t get myself to yet. After reading how relieved you felt, I may give it a shot the next time I might need it. So glad you could enjoy a getaway with the husband!
maybe I should give that a try! I’m awake right now due to my wonderful cold. blah
Wonderful! I agree!
Also, carry a little bottle of peppermint oil from Young Living around with you..a few drops in your water or tea or rubbed on your nose at night will keep those symptoms from happening in the first place.
I’ve seen that on TV. I wasn’t too sure about it, but may just have to give it a try. Thank you for the insight.
I don’t have a neti pot, but I do a saline rise through my nose when I get sick. For your readers who can’t get a pot or need it now, here is what I do. I have one of those blue baby booger suckers. I put about a 1/2 cup of warm water in cup. Put a little salt in and dissolve. I usually do it in the shower because it’s easier not to get it all over myself, but it especially good if doing it for the first time. Tilt your head back slightly and to the side. Fill clean booger sucker, insert into the nose and squeeze. If the water is going down your throat tilt your head forward a little more. it is supposed to come out the other side of the nose. It will probably sting a bit. Repeat once a day for at least 3 days.
I just heard someone else tell me how well this worked. Maybe I’ll get it for my husband who has allergies and is chronically stuffy.
I LOVE my neti pot!!
My husband swears by this. Personally, I gag whenever I try it.
I’m very seriosly thinking of getting one of these. Of course, I’d be more convinced if I saw a video of YOU doing it…
My nephew uses the same stuff. He says it works great….glad it works for you
Good to know! I saw Dr. Oz talk about one of these on Oprah YEARS ago, but I’ve never tried one. Might just have to! And I do love the idea of it being more natural.
Um… I’m not brave enough. I have my own sinus/congestion issues but my gag reflex fear out weighs it! LOL
saw your dessert post on the dessert recipe swap and stopped by. i swear by naso pure, which is the same idea of neti pot, but more travel/kid friendly. it’s plastic, dishwasher safe, and you don’t have to tip your head. me, hubby and both boys each have one and i couldn’t survive allergy season, or tot with constant colds without them.
