Popcorn is a fabulously frugal, fun snack. It’s perfectly delicious drizzled with butter and sprinkled with salt, especially when made with this trick on the stove top, and it’s easy to customize with savory or sweet flavors.
Pop up some fun with the following recipes. They’d be great to take to a holiday party or to package up for gifts!

What’s your favorite way to eat popcorn? I’m especially looking for savory flavors.

yummy! I might have to try all of those, we love popcorn around here
Please see my comment under the peanut butter bars post.

PS – the Goose Crunch gave me a big chuckle though! :>)
I thought of you when I saw the Goose Crunch!
Amy, we take our seasoned popcorn EVERYWHERE and really, everyone asks us, “What’s on this popcorn” or asks us for the recipe. I’ve got 2 really great topping options that even mix well together:
1. Special Seasoned Popcorn and http://wholenewmom.com/recipes/perfect-popcorn-recipe-3/
2. Herbes de Provence Popcorn http://wholenewmom.com/recipes/perfect-popcorn-recipe-2/
Hope you and your readers like them!
Excellent! That’s what I’m looking for!
Can’t wait to hear what you think – if you have time, of course!
I forgot that we also have a no peanut butter take on Frugal Granola’s recipe:
Nut Buttery Popcorn: http://wholenewmom.com/recipes/caramel-nut-buttery-popcorn/
It’s a great treat and healthy enough to eat for dinner
Wow, I don’t even really like popcorn, and I’m drooling right about now. Nom.
You are missing out!
Oh my goodness!! YUM!!
Love this round-up, Amy! I don’t actually enjoy plain buttered/salted popcorn, but I confess a weakness for the sweet stuff. Lots of fun varieties to try here.
You don’t like buttered/salted popcorn?! Our friendship may suffer for this…
You are speaking my love language.
I made stove-top popcorn for the first time last week and couldn’t believe how easy and frugal it was! Plus the taste of REAL butter and salt on it is so much better than the artificial stuff. I’m a convert.
I cheated the other day and popped a bag (that my dad gave us) in the micro. GAG. It was awful! Gotta have real, now.
I tried microwave popcorn a few months back and yuck. Even theatre popcorn makes me gag. It’s airpopped for me, and I prominantly display my betty crocker red ‘theatre style’ popper on my countertop. We make the normal buttered popcorn semiweekly.
I just gotta try some of these recipes!
We love our popcorn fiesta tradition every Sunday night!

How fun!
Can’t wait to make some of these to share with my husband’s co-workers for the holidays! I think this would make nice little gift bags for my children’s teachers as well! Thanks so much for sharing this
Glad to share!
We love to sprinkle dry ranch mix on our popcorn!
