There’s no carnival like a Tiny Town carnival! Our sensational nursing home (seriously, they’ve won awards) put on their second annual Tiny Town Carnival this week. We enjoyed 1 1/2 hours of

Amtrak rides

Gourmet sugar-coated grease

Fake cheese and chips washed down with grape-colored icy corn syrup

And tons of games where the rules could all be broken and the prizes were plentiful. I don’t know who enjoyed this FREE event more… my children or the residents!
Or maybe it was me.
Bridging the (multi)generation gap with a fun-filled (FREE) community carnival is a Finer Thing in my book! What Finer Things are you celebrating this week? Please link up and let us know! Link to your post, not your homepage… and please leave a link back here so others can join in the fun.

How awesome!!
What a great day!
My kids really enjoy the activities put on at my Grandmother’s nursing home. At the last one my kids had a blast swing dancing with as my daughter said,”people who really know how it is supposed to be done”.
That is a fantastic idea! I know first-hand how much the different age groups benefits from each other. That is a GREAT Finer Thing:-)
Looks like you all had a blast! Thanks for hosting!

What a great idea and a neat thing for a nursing home to do! I bet it is a highlight in everyone’s year!
What a blast!! That is a great way to bring several generations together!! And, I can’t even imagine how much everyone enjoyed it!
What a great idea for the nursing home to do that! And although they’re doing it FOR the kids…I’ll bet they’re more blessed. Children and laughter and fun can be so healing…what a great day!
