Fried Eggs Made Easy

For anyone who’s ever started out making fried eggs and ended up with a big ugly mess scrambled, give this a try.

After the egg whites actually have turned mostly white, pour a little water into your skillet.

The water will boil and loosen the eggs from the skillet.

Once the eggs are set, and before the water completely boils off, flip the eggs.

My daughter has enjoyed her “flat eggs” much more often when I use this trick. Let me know if it works for you!

I like eggs cooked this way. I do not flip them though. I tend to hold a lid over them a bit while the water boils and steams and then serve them with the sunny yolk face up and the tops smooth and shiny. Not sure if they are a true “sunny-side up”, but that’s what I call them. I never thought to use the water trick to loosen and flip a fried egg (something I often have trouble doing. Thanks!
