Free 2012 Time Capsule Printable {My New Year’s Gift to You}

In our family, 2012 may be remembered as “The year of the Christmas Day Pukes.”  Um, yeah.  It’s been real around here the last few days.  😉

Truly, though?  There are worse things!  (Even worse than major puke down a bunk bed ladder.  ::shudder::)

Family Time Capsule

Creating a Family Time Capsule is not only a fun, no-cost project for a special day, but it doubles as an exciting surprise when opened a year later.  Click here for ideas on what to include in a time capsule.

My New Year’s Gift to You!

Thank you, dear reader, for hanging with me day in and day out.  Especially during my pregnancy and new baby seasons, when I am less than consistent with my blogging.  I appreciate you!  Thanks for trying my recipes, discussing the tough questions, giving thanks for the simple, and celebrating the Finer Things!  You’ve made 2012 a fabulous one, and I can’t wait to see what 2013 brings.  My New Year’s gift for loyal Finer Things readers is this free 2012 printable time capsule survey your kiddos can fill out.  Hey, you can even fill one out if you want.  Why not?!

Here’s to a fabulous 2013, free of bunk bed puke!

A big thanks to New Season Design for turning my idea into a fun printable!

  1. Thank you for making this available again. I loved having my children (now 16, 14, and 8) fill them out last year. They will be great to look back on.

  2. Yay! I was hoping you would do this again. Last year’s is already fun to look at. Thank you.

  3. Sorry about the puke. I remember once when my daughter on the top bunk started puking and my daughter on the bottom bunk, ran out screaming, ‘it is raining throw up’…….of course that was about 3 am!

    • Oh, ick! 🙁 Our bottom bed guy was already in the dining room (on the hardwood floor) for the night, so we at least didn’t have that to deal with.

  4. Thank you for the printable. I cannot wait to give them to my great-grandchildren and start a new tradition for them. Happy Holidays, take care.

  5. Hope your family is all better now! Thanks for the cute idea.

  6. Too funny–ours were all sick on Christmas too. Except it was coming out the other end. 🙁 It can only get better from here, right?!

  7. Ugh, I feel for you.

We had the pukes at Christmas a couple of years ago, and the kids still remember it and worry it will happen again. Thankfully this Christmas was sickness free for us! Hope you all feel better soon.

  8. I am seriously laughing out loud at the bunk bed puke stories. We were this year reminiscing about Christmas Eve in the ER w/ croup, and the year we all took turns w/ major stomach flu that manifested both ways. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and may you have no more bunk bed pukes!

  9. I can’t figure out how to download the actual document? If i right click i can only save the picture then its blurry when i try to print it. Is there a pdf link to print it? thanks!

    • The link is in your subscriber feed. It’s also on my facebook page under “free stuff for fans.” Let me know if neither of those options works for you and we’ll figure something out. 🙂

  10. Thanks for doing this again. We did it last year and it was such fun. Sorry to hear you’ve been suffering. As Cindy said, it can only get better, so here’s to 2013!

  11. I hope you all feel better now. I remember many a holiday where we were throwing up. We have learned that no one sleeps in the top bunk if they are throwing up though.

    • Um, yeah. He went to bed feeling FINE. 🙁 After he got sick, we pulled our daughter out of her top bunk “just in case.” She slept on the floor three nights and never did get sick. LOL You win some, you lose some…
