Finer Things Friday: Signs of Spring

by Amy on March 4, 2010

Could it be?

We’re trading hot chocolate for smoothies

spring1 Finer Things Friday: Signs of Spring

and snow boots for bare toes.

spring2 Finer Things Friday: Signs of Spring

Instead of begging to go sledding, the kids are begging to go swimming (in 50° weather).

Barring any end-of-March-blizzards, dare I say it’s almost spring!  And that, my friends, is a very fine thing.

What Finer Things are you celebrating this week? Link up and let us know!  Please follow the rules so everyone can enjoy.

What cute pictures — they definitely give me spring fever! Season changes are always so exciting, especially when it’s from cool to warm(er). Enjoy the sunny weekend!

P.S. This is my first time doing the Finer Things Friday, I hope I did it correctly. What an awesome way to help us all remember what really matters in life. :)

You are not kidding it’s a fine thing. WOW, the sunshine never looked so good. That first pic of your kids eating smoothies LOOKS like summertime. I’ll come back and look at that pic each time I need a “fix”. Since it’s still only March, I’m sure I’ll need a few of those.

Our weather is getting a little warmer too, we still have about 8″ of snow on the ground, but I think it will be gone soon. I hope :)
Thanks for hosting!

Where do you live? It’s still in the 30′s here in North East Ohio. :( But it was sunny and felt “kinda” warm compared to what it has been! We Ohioans break out the shorts once the weather hits 40! :)

Kansas. Ohio sounds pretty chilly still…

We’ve had a couple of those days this week, too, and it’s SO exciting! We spent nearly 2 hours outside yesterday and I couldn’t be happier. We will probably have a couple more snow storms, but this has been such a nice break from the frigid temps! And the sunshine has helped all of our attitudes quite a bit!

All I can say is it’s about time the sun came out…..I honestly don’t think I’ve seen it here in KY in weeks! It’s supposed to beautiful and warmer today, Yay!! I am so much more inspired when the sun is out. :)
Come visit me at my blog sometime when you get a sec!
Happy Friday!

We saw mostly grass at the beginning in the week, but just when I thought our Canadian winter was over, it got cold and snowy again. Thankfully, the forecast shows 9 degrees again for tomorrow (that’s about 48 F) so here’s hoping…!

Oh, I wish! We still have lots of snow, but I have high hopes that it will all melt this weekend. It should be in the 40′s all weekend.

I love snow, but I think I’d be tired of it by now, too…

Spring is most definitely a finer thing! I can’t wait to put some seeds in the ground for fresh herbs and produce!

The sun shining is definitely a finer thing (and the snow is melting- yay!!)

Oh my….I absolutely LOVE the toes picture! How adorable! I’d consider framing it!
When my home burned down last year, I decided life was too short to have too serious of a home, along with the decor. I had my kids paint pics and framed them and hung them up. I think your pic deserves consideration too! :)

Such great advice. I definitely should do something special with it.

Just enjoying the sunshine and listening to the birds sing means Spring is on the way and that is definitely a “finer thing”.

The weather is turning gorgeous here, too! But I live in Florida, so I can’t really complain about having had a bad winter. :)

LOVE the cute bare toes outside. To me, THAT is the best sign of Spring there is!
