Is there anything Finer on a crisp fall day than feeding a few friends…
taming a wild beast…
driving a John Deere…
and picking the perfect pumpkin?
I think not.

I think she is going to give Andrea a run for her money on that bull, lol!
Cute pics!

We are hoping to make it to our local pumpkin patch this weekend!
I love the pictures of your little ones!
Best,
Sarah
PS – Thank you for hosting! This is my first time as a contributor!
@Sarah, so glad you joined us!
Looks like a very fun day!!!
Very cute pics!!
Looks like a very fun fall day!
Precious, precious pictures! And, no, I cannot imagine a finer fall day!
Aw…I remember these times when my olders were little. Always a preschool field trip to the pumpkin farm, then a family jaunt on the weekend. My youngers don’t get into it as much these days. Now I’m waiting for grandbabies to share pumpkin-picking…
Thanks for hosting!
Oh, I just LOVE days like that! Looks like a perfect way to spend an autumn day… making memories in the crisp, fresh air.
Your daughter did a good job taming that wilde beast!
I love visiting the pumpkin patch–so many memories to be made.
Looks like such fun! We made it to the pumpkin patch on Monday. It turned out to be a good thing because the weather hasn’t been nice the rest of the week!
Crisp autumn days are the best!
@Lizz @ Yes, and So is My Heart, we got the last nice day of the week, too!
Does anyone remember the days when you could take school field trips to the pumpkin patch? That was the very best…life has changed so much.
I’m sharing my granola bar recipe…it’s perfect for fall and packed with superfoods.
@Amy @ Simply Sugar & Gluten-Free, My kids still take field trips to the pumpkin patch. That’s what we’re doing in these pics.
@Amy, That’s not your first grader, is it? I taught elementary school and, at least in Plano and Carrollton (Dallas ‘burbs) you did not get to go to the pumpkin patch. Those kids do more work in one day than most adults do in a week. It’s amazing.
@Amy @ Simply Sugar and Gluten-Free, No, that’s my preschooler’s class trip, and I took my 2 year old along. But… my 1st grade daughter’s went a few days before we did. They go on 2 field trips a year, I think.
I agree on the increased work load. I taught my 6th graders what I LEARNED my freshman year of high school!
Those are great seasonal memories to capture:-)
Looks like your family had a blast! What sweet photos. I can’t wait for our pumpkin-picking trip this weekend!
The John Deere photo is just too cute! Thanks for hosting this party today!

I love those pictures… fall is my favorite! I am sharing a post which includes links to three of my very favorite inspirational posts. A Finer Thing for me is having somewhere to turn when I feel overwhelmed, to help me get back on track. I hope this will help, especially with the upcoming and often stressful holiday season.
What a fun day!
We are going to the pumpkin patch and corn maze today. I think I am as excited as my children!
After seeing these, our family is going to make a visit to the pumpkin patch tomorrow. We have every year and with colds, we were going to forgo it this year but just look at your memories!!
Hi Amy…
I just came across your blog this morning and was so excited to find you doing this fun-filled Friday event! I’m joining in…my very first time and look forward to visiting the participants!!! I also added your blog to my list of blog follows and anticipate your upcoming posts and getting to know you!
So very nice to meet you, Amy!!!
Now…for your post today! My friend, I certainly can’t think of a “finer” way to spend a day than with a few barnyard friends! I really enjoyed your photos…loved the photo of your little one riding the bull! Hehe! Your children are just adorable!!! Thank you so much for sharing your day and family with us!!! Also…thank you so much for hosting “Finer Things Friday”!!!
Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design
@Chari, Thanks for joining us!
How wonderful! This is our last weekend to go to a pumpkin patch and we have soccer tournaments! I think I enjoy them more than the kids do though. Your kids look like they had a ball. It always looks like pumpkin patches in other areas are much better than ours!
What a wonderful blog! I found you through Isabella and Max Rooms. I love the pictures. My daughter would enjoy hanging there too! I linked with you as today is the last day to enter to win a complete design for one room. One lucky person or family will win a design to make their space a finer home.
Hi Amy, I am visiting you by way of Chari at Happy to Design:) Enjoyed your blog and will be back to visit you! Have a blessed day.
How fun! Your kiddos are adorable!
I love Finer Things Fridays!!!
Great pictures! I loved it when the boys were little and we went to the Pumpkin Patch!
Thanks for hosting and sorry I didn’t comment yesterday.

We’re totally jealous of the John Deere pic!
What fun! We haven’t gone to the pumpkin patch this year. We were supposed to go on a homeschool trip while gone with a friend, but it got cancelled because of the weather. Great pics!!
Amy-Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I love chicken and dumplings too but never make them. We all loved these, although I read one bad review of them online. They are, however, just like I liked them and tasted homemade to me. I hope you will try them and like them. They are very easy and great comfort food in my opinion.
Love the pictures of your family. They are precious. Blessings.
Well, that looks like fun! We haven’t made it out to the local pumpkin patch this year yet, but perhaps we should schedule it in. Our 3-year-old would absolutely love it!
