Sometimes I just want them to go to sleep already! On this particular night, though, I’m glad I didn’t jump up when I heard the “after hours” pitter-patter of feet not sleeping.
I’m glad I didn’t yell from the other room when I heard the quiet chatter of lips not sleeping.
I’m glad I took a deep breath, quieted myself, and listened to the rustle of arms and legs not sleeping.
I’m glad that this time I grabbed my camera just in case, and snuck in to investigate all of the not sleeping that was going on.

Not sleeping.

How special! Siblings are just automatic best friends – or least we pray they will be
Too sweet!
They look adorable all snuggled together!
Such a sweet picture! And, yes, my kids would so not be in trouble for still being awake if I found them like that!
When my kids were younger we would occasionally find them snuggled up together. I kind of miss the “not sleeping” days.
I try to tell myself that I’ll miss it when I’m exhausted and frustrated and just want some QUIET.
Oh, what a lovely picture! That’s the kind to cherish forever.

My post this week is simply about being there – being *present* – with my children. Sometimes I just have to slow down, drop the routine, and savor these moments with them!
Blessings~

So sweet! I love hearing the little conversations going on after I turn off the lights!
Oh, how sweet! Thanks for hosting Finer Things Friday.
How sweet!! You got a great picture too:) And just think … soon there will be another one in that bed:)
They may have to find a bigger bed!
Adorable. Things like that always remind me to pick my battles.
This very thing happened over here the other evening. Wish I would have thought to snap a picture! Nicholas was reading the Bible to Noah (and there was no arguing and/or fighting–which is rare with them 2!)–such a precious moment!
I am glad when I handle things well too:-)
way to stop the yell and capture the moment! Those pitter patter of little feet can be the best sound in the world, or the most FRUSTRATING sound in the world–depending on the day, time and my mood!!:) Great capture..
Thanks for hosting this party, love its uniqueness.
That is so sweet!
That is so sweet. Love it!
Too funny- today you talk about non sleeping and my finer thing is sleep, and lots of it LOL
Well, usually I’m totally with you on the sleep thing!
Aww. That’s so sweet!!!! Isn’t it great when we get it right sometimes? Way to go. And how nice to have a picture to prove it
