“Who wants to move the dining room table and chairs into the living room?”

It doesn’t take much to be Mom of the Year (for a couple of hours) around here. Use what you have. Change things around. Break a few organization rules. All in the name of good, free fun!
My children think free fun is a Finer Thing. I tend to agree! How do you create Free Fun at your home?
What Finer Things are you celebrating this week? Link up and let us know! A huge thank you for linking to your post (not your homepage) and leaving a link from your post back here.

Free fun is the best kind!
My girls love to build “forts” on rainy days. It is amazing how pillows and blankets can occupy them for hours:)
My kids love doing that too! Yes you definitely earn Mom of the Year! Fun!!
We love to blow (and chase) bubbles.
My 13 year old and her BFF just slept in a fort last week. Her friend had those big clamps from Home Depot to help it all stay up. – Something I’d never thought of. Anywho. I love that it is still fun even in the teen years!
VERY cool that they still enjoy such things at 13. Gives me hope!
Ah, the table fort… so fun!!! I remember making a fort out of the picnic table on our deck as a child. Man, was it HOT! But we totally didn’t care.
I think you saw me tweet that I sent my kids out with a shoe box and a stack of junk mail. They played “mailman” for hours and thought I was the best. I love that I don’t have to worry about $30 (or so!) toys getting broken.
I *need* to do the mailman thing. I’m in a habit of tossing the junk mail at the post office so I don’t have to cart it home and sort it there, but might have to make an exception…
36 boxes of cereal bought in bulk can make great dominoes or a great fort.
Whoa, that’s a lot of cereal! I can just imagine the dominoes, though. What fun.
The best part is that it was my 27 year old husband and the cat.
I have been breaking organizational rules all summer! Man, is my house a mess:-)
That looks fun!
We did something similar with my nephew when we cared for him for a week!
Well, free fun for my grandchildren include making a tent out of sheets and bar stools. The bar stools have 4 legs and they actually like to sit inside the four legs. A card table works well too.
