Finer Things Friday: Delicious Air

“Mom, the air smells delicious tonight.” A storm was coming in, as evidenced by the leaf blizzard outside only slightly more wild than the sudden paper blizzard inside.  Welcome, fall!

It was nearly 7:00.  Getting dark.  School tomorrow.  They hadn’t even eaten yet.

I take that back.  “Look, Mom.  I made her into Nature Girl.  Do you like her hair?  We’ve been eating apples off of Mr. R’s tree for supper. We saved some in our new fort for emergencies.”

All I want for Christmas…

Being MOM to two sisters enjoying some delicious autumn air  (And yes, they did eat more than apples for supper… eventually.) is certainly a Finer Thing!

  1. How super cute!! {And my DD is missing her two front teeth – on top AND on bottom – now too! :)} They can sing together! LOL

  2. I have a child sporting that look, too — so adorable! And now I’m craving a really good apple!

  3. Looks like they were having a blast. I love that they stored some up in the fort!

  4. That sounds like a perfect fall evening to me. It’s wonderful that your daughters appreciate the simple, but definitely finer, things!

  5. I love delicious air! It truly is a finer thing: the wonderful morning air of camping, or the air before a storm, or the crisp coldness of a winter morning in the prairies….

    Thanks!

  6. I didn’t give my link a proper title the first time- so feel free to delete it! 🙂 So excited I have a “Finer Thing” to share today!

  7. Love the toothless grin! 🙂 Enjoy!

  8. We are celebrating a costume party and my oldest coming home for a visit:-)
