Finer Things Friday: 47 Kisses and a Clean House

finer things friday Finer Things Friday: 47 Kisses and a Clean House

So, Blissdom was a blast.  I laughed (hard).  I networked.  I learned.  I didn’t sleep.  At all.

Wouldn’t you love to know what that was all about?!  (Don’t ask Lynn, I’m afraid she’d tell you!)  :)

The best part about Blissdom, though?  Coming home.

Home to 47 kisses in the airport from my 2 year old.

Home to our van filled with the makings of a picnic to make the trip more fun for the kids.

Home to pizza and cheddar poppers so that I didn’t have to cook at all before the Super Bowl started.

Home to a desktop document – “Amyless Journal:  A (very funny) Story of Survival” – with a daily play-by-play of what went on in my absence.

Home to a hubby who had the laundry caught up and the house (pretty much) cleaned up!!!!!!!!!!

Dorothy was right.

Home ~ It’s a Finer Thing!

What Finer Things are you celebrating this week? Link up and let us know!  Remember to play by the rules so you don’t get deleted.

Home is definitely a Finer Thing! My husband also had all the laundry caught up, the house was clean, and he made spaghetti for dinner. I later found a note that he had written one night while he couldn’t sleep. He said he thought my time away would be “easy sailing” but he was quickly proven wrong on the first day.

Seems like our families all did pretty well without us. My laundry was not done (still working on it) but the house was clean until I unloaded the swag we got and the Dining Rm table exploded :)
Thanks for hosting!

Oh, how I wish you’d share a few exerpts from that journal!

There are definitely a few kid quotes that would be worth sharing! Now to see if I get around to it…

The Amyless Journal was undoubtedly a riot to read. Your husband sounds like a very thoughtful man indeed.

So glad you made it home safe + sound… :)

This is my first time participating in Finer Things Friday, but I have a feeling I’ll be back. It’s a great theme for a Meme. Thanks for hosting!

That is so funny! But wait, do tell. Did your husband pack that picnic all by himself? :)

And I just have to say Amy, you are one beautiful lady! I have seen lots of pictures of Blissdom and everytime I see you I think “She is so pretty!”. Inside and out, of course :)

He did! And he went grocery shopping before picking me up so we could go straight home from the airport. :)

You’re too sweet, Stephanie.

Sounds, well, looks like y’all had a great time! I give you credit… I could never go away. My husband would probably be fine, it’s just me that has an issue, I guess!

“The Scrapbook” is on my list of MUST DO this spring/summer. I am so far behind! We should do a weekend retreat or something!
