I’m so glad it’s time for Gratituesday! What a fun way to recap Thanksgiving Day at my parents’ place.
I’m first of all grateful that we snapped a fairly successful Christmas card photo before dinner (sans food-adorned clothing after the meal). Four out of five “lookers” isn’t bad, right?
I’m grateful for my parents’ garage. Yes, we eat our Thanksgiving meal in the garage. I know that sounds terribly redneckish… but you do what you gotta do when you’re serving 37 people. And really, my mom keeps her garage cleaner, warmer, and better decorated than I keep my house. Good grief. Oh, and I’m certainly thankful for all the family that was there… so much fun! (We were still missing 50 people from that side of the family, but we’ll get to see a lot of them at Christmas.)
Oh, look at this smile! She’s just learned to say “cheeeeeeeeeeese.” What’s not to love?!?
And this… was staged, but only because I knew I couldn’t give proper thanks and run my camera at the same time.
The pies. I’m grateful for these pies, and the desserts that crowded in after taking this photo. It’s fun to live in a pie-baking family!
Good food, good fun, good family = all Finer Things!

Great family photo. I am happy if I get 50% looking at the camera and no one with a finger up their nose!
