Family Fun for Free

by Amy on March 19, 2009

For some frugal family fun this spring, why not try a little indoor window shopping? Our local farm store is currently bursting with baby chicks and ducks.

After behaving nicely during our most recent Dillons run, we treated the kids to a little visit. They were fascinated with all of the babies and quite content to mill around the store for nearly an hour.

Fun times with the family don’t have to cost a thing! Enjoy the free spring pleasures that surround you.

So true! I always forget about the baby chicks at the feed store. My kidlets could spend forever in there. Love it!

Great idea! We also love to visit the pet store – my kids love to check out the fish, birds, snakes, and turtles. And the one we go to even has cats and kittens that they have available for adoption.

Great idea! My littles haven’t had the country experience that my bigger ones did. Believe it or not, when we moved from CA to KC, we went from Tiny Town to the Big City.

Yep, we make a trip to the feed store every year too. My boys love looking at the chicks, ducklings and baby rabbits!

Oh, I will have to check and see if our feed store has baby animals this year. My little one would love this! Thanks for the reminder!

What a great idea! My kids always loved baby animals. They still do. My friend lives on a farm and in the spring she has a farm tour where kids can come and see the new baby animals.
