It tastes as good as it looks! Caramel Apple Pizza is a beautiful, fun fall dessert, combining the sweet peanut butter cookie and caramel with the tart apples. Use a homemade cookie base, or cheat with refrigerated cookie dough. I won’t tell!
Caramel Apple Pizza with a Peanut Butter Cookie Crust
Peanut Butter Cookie Crust
- 1 cup peanut butter
- ½ cup butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups flour
Cream together peanut butter and butter. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar; mix until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and egg. Stir in baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Gradually add flour. Mix thoroughly.
Press dough onto a 14-inch (or so) pizza pan. Bake 15-20 minutes at 350°. Cool completely.
Cream Cheese Filling
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Blend cream cheese, brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth. Spread onto cooled cookie crust.
Apple Topping
- sliced red and green apples (I like granny smith and gala.)
- lemon juice, fruit fresh, or lemon lime soda
- caramel ice cream topping
Slice apples. (The amount depends on the size of the apples.) Soak them in a lemon juice/water mixture, fruit fresh, or lemon lime soda to prevent browning. Pat dry on a towel. Arrange apple slices on the pizza (a fun job for the kids!). Drizzle caramel ice cream topping over the apples. Refrigerate until served.
*** This dessert is great to share with a crowd, as it looks and tastes best when served within 24 hours.
*** Add chopped nuts for another layer of yum.
*** Make individual pizzas with peanut butter cookies. Fun for a DIY treat at a kids’ party.
*** Fighting peanut allergies? Try a sugar cookie or even chocolate chip cookie crust.

This looks ah-MAZE-ing! We are going to a friend’s house on Sunday for church and this would be a great dessert to eat while sitting around the table chatting. The best part is: I only need PB, cream cheese & carmel topping. Yum! I cant wait to try it.
If your kids have allergies you can also make sunbutter cookies instead of peanut butter. Still has nuttiness to it, but nut free!
I was looking for an idea for our Halloween party at school ! Thank you , it looks great
This was delicious!
Yay! Your mom told me at the game last week that you made it… and shared with the whole neighborhood. LOL
