Blissdom in Pictures

So, was it worth it?

The roomies. Not that we were ever actually in our room, aside from about 5 hours of “sleeping” time each night.

The food. Oh, the food!  Perhaps it was because I didn’t have to cook it or clean up after it, but wow… the food!  Thanks to Hunt’s for this delicious lunch.

The view. Oh my word, this hotel was an event all on it’s own. I tried, but simply could not capture the amazingness in my own photos.  (This particular photo is taken looking up from our Hunt’s lunch.)

The new friends. Carrie and I lost our tribe on the way to lunch, but were super blessed to eat and chat with Robin and Sara. What fun to meet such amazing ladies throughout the weekend!

The view. Again.  Looking down on lunch.

The built in exercise program. Walking forever to get anywhere was a joy in this beautiful hotel!

The connections with fabulous bloggers.  Lunch photo with Jessica from Life as Mom, Amy from Mom Advice, Meredith from Like Merchant Ships, and Crystal from Money Saving Mom.

The moments. I nearly bawled when Jessie thanked me for the Mommy, Come Home series.  What a sweet friend!

The finally! Meeting blog friends in real life?  Nothing better!  Here’s Myra from My Blessed Life, Stephanie from Keeper of the Home, and Phoebe from Getting Freedom.

The silliness. Do you see it?  We’re spelling A-M-Y!

The giggles. I think we were all delirious from lack of sleep by Saturday night.  We marched our pajama-clothed selves down to the movie/karaoke/game night… right in front of a very nice night club filled with suit/tie/cocktail dressed patrons.  Lovely!  Afterward, a pow-wow in a hotel room where I laughed so hard with friends, including these two Amys.  Amy from Amy Loves It, and Amy from Mom’s Toolbox.

Worth it?  Oh, yes.  Where do I sign up for next year?!

  1. Yay! I wasn’t there, but I had SUCH fun reading all the Tweets… and now picking up as many blog posts about it as I can. :)

  2. LOVE IT
I adored meeting you! You are such a beautiful voice online and even more so in person. My only regret, not nearly enough time with you!

  3. I’m so glad you had such a great time, Amy! :D It looks like a blast!

  5. I lurves you, my “twinsie” *muah*

    Nobody makes a better “M” than you… nobody! ;)

    • Can’t wait to see you wearing the hot red dress next year at Blissdom! That 30 minutes in the room with the hilarity was one of my fave 30 minutes of the whole weekend. :)

  6. Looks like you had a grand time!! Thanks for sharing :)

  7. Such fun…so that was what I missed right before I came up to the room….bummer! :)

  8. Looks like so much fun and you look great! Loved seeing all the pictures. It’s neat to see so many of my online friends together in one space. Good to have you back too. ;)

  9. What fun! We stayed at the Gaylord Resort at National Harbor in December. I recognized the “Gaylord-touch” immediately in your photos. It IS impossible to capture the magical surroundings on film! Our family went to see ICE! and then spent 3 days/2 nights at the hotel – JUST at the hotel – no sightseeing, nothing outside the walls of the hotel – and it was one of the best vacations we’ve had in years. I blogged about it here…

just in case anyone wants to see a few more photos of the Gaylord magic.

  10. I am SOOOOOOOOO glad to have met you ‘in real life’ and to have shared lots of giggles Saturday night. :) That was awesome and definitely A Finer Thing!!!!

  11. Thanks so much for sharing these photos! It looks like such a wonderful event. I’m hoping that maybe next year will be my year to go. We’ll see… :)

  12. It was so nice to meet you at Blissdom! I’ve been to quite a few blogging conferences in the past two years, and this year’s Blissdom was far and away the best.

  13. I am so glad I got to hug you in person! You are just as sweet and genuine as I had pictured you! I can’t wait until next year! xo
