I made a haul at Dillons today with the P&G Super Mega Event: Get $5 off a purchase of $25 or more on qualifying P&G products. Strategically combined with some coupons, here’s what I got.
- Olay Ribbons body wash = $3.50 (-$1 coupon and $1 P&G ecoupon) = $1.50
- Olay bar soap = $3.50 (-$1 coupon and $1 P&G ecoupon) = $1.50
- Pantene shampoo = $3.33 (-$2 coupon) = $1.33
- Pantene conditioner = $3.33 (-$2 coupon) = $1.33
- Always Infinity = $8.99 (-$1 coupon and $2 P&G ecoupon) = $5.99
- Dawn dish soap = $2.99 (-$1 coupon and $.25 P&G ecoupon) = $1.74
Total before coupons = $25.64, which qualified me for the $5 deal. Total after coupons and the $5 = $8.39 Pretty exciting for a gal who dreams of CVS!
Dillons was running another promotion: Purchase 3 qualifying Kellogg’s cereals and receive a free gallon of milk. My kids are SO EXCITED about this one, because it has literally been months since I’ve purchased cereal.
- 2 boxes Special K = $5.34 (-2 $1 coupons) = $3.34
- 1 box Froot Loops = $2.67 (-$1 coupon) = $1.67 (Please don’t shoot! I did not buy the Froot Loops for breakfast. I only bought them to pack in our fun snack bag for ballgames.)
- FREE MILK
Random Dillons deals:
- Yo Plus yogurt = $1.29 on Manager’s Special (-$1 coupon) = $.29 and I’m upset because my Shortcuts $1 ecoupon didn’t go through. I could have had free yogurt + $.71 overage! I’ll be contacting Shortcuts soon…
- Cottonelle TP = 2 @ $.99 each (-$1 coupon, I don’t know where my other printed coupon disappeared to. You can print Cottonelle coupons – and many more – right here) = $.98 for two and another Shortcuts coupon didn’t work. Hmmm
- Colgate toothpaste = $1.50 (-$1 coupon and $1 Cellfire ecoupon) FREE plus $.50 overage
- Softsoap = $1 (-$1 coupon) = FREE (we needed this one!)
- 2 Suave deodorant = $1 each (-2 $1 coupons) = FREE
Wal Mart:
- I totally happened upon this screaming deal by chance. Little Swimmers swim diapers for my girl. $1 each! I’ve paid $6 per pack for those suckers before!
I’m thrilled to be stocked up with cheap and free toiletries! It’s definitely a Finer Thing when you don’t have to leave the house to grab something essential at full price because you ran out!

Oh goodness, Amy, even if you let the kids eat Froot Loops for breakfast some day, they’re still getting great, healthy food thanks to you! What a great haul… good job! (I blew the P & G deal by somehow thinking it was TWENTY dollars in my head… grr…)
