Dillons was yet again the place to be this weekend. Here’s the best of the bargains.
- 5 Cottonelle TP = $.99 each, with 5 coupons for $.50 that doubled to $1.00 each = a nice stash of FREE TP (coupons here, here, and here)
- Johnson’s Buddies soap = $.99 each, with a $3 off any three Johnson’s products coupon here = FREE fun soap for my kids’ Easter baskets
- 6 boxes Green Giant veggies, including a box of Brussel Sprouts which I have never eaten, $1.00 each, minus newspaper insert coupons and ecoupons here and here = lots of FREE veggies
- Kroger tuna = $.75, minus $.75 cellfire ecoupon = FREE tuna
- I was thrilled to find my other Softsoap coupon. They were still on sale for $1. With my newspaper coupon I have FREE soap.
- Kroger brand diapers = $6.79. Subtract the $3 peelie coupon on the bag and I got two bags of diapers for $3.79 each. I’ll be returning for that deal. That’s about 1/2 what I usually pay!
- 2 bags of apples, 3 pounds each, with the Magic Manager’s Special tags = $1.99 each
Shortcuts update: Remember last week I told you I was bummed that my Shortcuts ecoupons didn’t work? Well, the next day I filled out a short eform, told them what happened and gave them my receipt number. I got an email back that day and they credited my card! Excellent customer service!

I am glad you got such good bargains. Our store that is the equivalent of Dillons is Kroger. I always hesitate to shop there because of so many errors that are made. I do end up going, mostly for the Cottonelle. I always have trouble with the shortcuts coupons. I called the manager, and I emailed the shortcuts site. They eventually got me going, but I have had problems again after the problem was supposed to have been fixed. I need to just not count on those shortcuts coupons!!
Amy, I really enjoy your blog and find it to be one of my very favorites. Keep up the good work.
