Valentine’s Day isn’t just for lovebirds. In fact, once our children were in school, we kind of forgot it was about us at all! (I kid, I kid… kind of.) Valentine’s Day is a pretty big deal for the little people, though. I think it’s the whole giving and receiving hangover from Christmas. And the candy. Yep, the candy likely has something to do with it.
If I was a crafty mom I might click my way right over to Pinterest and whip up 50 handmade cards for my kids’ classmates and teachers this year. (I hear you laughing. Stop it!) Instead, I get to pull the blog card and order our Valentines from Shutterfly! Shutterfly has 50 cards reserved for me and 50 for one of you, too!
If you don’t have classroom exchanges to mess with, make a family card to send to friends and relatives. Didn’t get Christmas cards out like you wanted to? Well, here ya go! Shutterfly has all sorts of options with great photo spaces, layouts and photo framing.
As for my own Valentine? Well, the way to my man’s heart is via yummy food and undivided time. I’ll likely fix Aussie Chicken and a chocolatey dessert. He loves chocolate chip cheesecake! If I do wrap up a gift, though, especially one from the kids, a photo gift is always a hit.
We have a photo collage mouse pad that is so much fun, but it’s missing two of our babies! (I can’t imagine replacing it, though… what would I do with the “old” one?!) This year I’ll be wrapping up this desktop plaque. The last photo gift we gave him for his school desk has only 3 children on it, and they are 4, 2, and about 3 months old. Oops! Time for an update!
Who wants to win 50 4×5 stationery cards and a 5×5 desktop plaque? I thought you might! Simply leave your name and email in the form below.
Giveaway ends Sunday, February 3, at 11:59 pm, CST. A winner will be randomly drawn and notified by email. This post will also be updated with the winner’s name.
How do you make Valentine’s Day special? Do you have any fun family or couple traditions?
