Bananas and Dark Chocolate? Let’s Do This!

***Update:  Click here to see how my party went!***

The busiest part of our summer is over, and now it’s time for a party sponsored by DOLE Banana Dippers.  Bananas and dark chocolate?  I’m in!

Our summer break is halfway over, and we’ve survived the busiest part of it with all the scheduled activities.  (Actually, we’re exhausted, but we’ve had a blast!)  Now we’re on to lazy (clumsy!) volleyball in the backyard, closing the local swimming pool in the evenings, and spending nights in the tent.

We also want to make time for gathering up our family and friends.  Four of our kiddos have birthdays in the next 8 weeks, so there will be plenty of opportunities for celebrating with the whole family.

What I struggle to do, though, is to make time for fun with my mom friends.  When Mom it Forward asked me to host a DOLE Banana Dippers party for 10-15 girlfriends, I jumped at the excuse!  Frozen bananas and chocolate?  Let’s do it!

  • Girl’s Night In is the perfect time to catch up with your girlfriends, relax and take a breather from the stresses of your daily routine. To make this night even sweeter, indulge in a sweet treat that won’t leave you worrying about your waistline.
  • New DOLE Banana Dippers bring together the goodness of real DOLE bananas and the rich, indulgent taste of dark chocolate. You no longer have to worry about feeling guilty after satisfying your sweet tooth.
  • With only 120 calories or less per serving, these are the perfect pairing of fruit and chocolate. You can enjoy DOLE Banana Dippers as a midday snack or as awonderful way to end a meal.
  • DOLE Banana Dippers can be found  in the frozen fruit aisle of retailers nationwide for only $3.49 – $3.99 for a box, which contains six individual servings.

Thursday’s the date, and I’m in planning mode!  When was the last time you hosted a party just for the girls?  What did you serve?  What fun things did you do?

I’m hosting a DOLE Banana Dippers party as part of the Mom it Forward Blogging Network.  They are providing party supplies and food, and compensating me for my time.  Opinions about the Banana Dippers remain my own, and shhh, I haven’t even tried them yet!  Planning to be surprised at the party!

  1. I could make those, even if I’m tired. Aren’t bananas good for pregnant ladies, anyway? And I know my 3-year-old would be very pleased with them. He would call them a ‘pecial treat.

Love the convenience of these…I agree, they would be pretty easy to make. This recipe was on another blog I read and I had bookmarked awhile ago to try….sigh :)
