Hmmm, I cook them uncovered. You might want to try cooking them covered for a while and then broil them uncovered to crisp up the bacon. Maybe that would help?

Do you cook the bundles covered or uncovered? I have cooked these several times. Sometimes the grean beans shrink when too much when I cook them.

I love this recipe!! usually when I make it though I don’t wrap the green beans…I just mix it all together in a casserole dish..(I crumble the bacon all over) and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes…its solo deelish!

You might try partially cooking the bacon before wrapping the bundles. My bacon doesn’t get real crisp. I use it more for the flavor factor.

How do you keep these from burning, with the sugar on mine burns before the bacon gets crispy?
