Aluminum Foil Alternate

Because I haven’t shared a courtesy dirty oven photo recently…

Out of aluminum foil?  No worries!  Use a cookie sheet to cover your baking dish.  Save green and go green all at the same time!

{Note to self:  Clean the oven!}

  1. Well if that’s not just genius. I’m going to repost this today as my Daily Duh on Facebook at 2pm! :-)

    I second Stacy…that’s genius! I will have to try that sometime.

    And your oven?!? Puh-leaze! That’s nothin’! :-)

    Brilliant! Love this idea! Thanks! My oven just got cleaned last week after it smoked us out of the house. I had forgotten to put a cookie sheet under the apple pie when I baked it for Thanksgiving and it made quite a mess. We had sandwiches while the oven was on self-clean the rest of the evening.

    What a great idea! I always buy cheap dollar foil for just this purpose and save the more expensive and stronger foil for food covering that will be used for longer and is needed. But, it bothers me wadding and throwing even the cheap stuff away. I will definitely be trying this! Thanks for the great tip and keep up the good work!!

    Love this idea! And just an FYI, you can through your used aluminum foil in w/ your cans for recycling-just wash or wipe it first.

  6. Deborah Jennings says:

    WOW! Another money saving tip! Love it! And I have a cookie sheet just like this one!

  7. Lisa says:

    Arghhh! Why have I never thought of this?? I totally hate throwing away even the cheap foil. Love it!!
