A Matter of Perspective

I won’t pretend to see what she sees.  I can’t.  I don’t have my binoculars. And if I did, I might not think to wear them backwards.

I won’t pretend to see things exactly as you see them, either.  I don’t have your binoculars, or your relationships, or your situation or experiences.

If we were all a little slower to judge and a little quicker to dish out heaping plates of empathy, how would our world be different?

It’s all a matter of perspective.

Very, very true! We always need to remember this when we look at someone else and think about how they have it all.

  8. This is so true. What a great lesson from a sweet moment with your little one. The perspective is so important. Same as “walk a mile in their shoes”. We can never know what someone else has experienced or had to go through. Who are we to judge and speculate about others actions, words, deeds. Something for us all to remember. Thanks, Amy.

Judging people has been on my heart a lot lately. I am really working on not being judgmental, it is something I struggle with daily. I keep asking for help to not focus on others because it just gets me worked up. Great post!

Being judgemental is definately one of my faults that I continually have to work on. Thanks so much for the reminder, it is something that we all need to hear!

Oh how I wish the whole world was willing to work on less judging and more empathy. Even myself. Just try for one week to not judge another. I practice this often and so quickly I learn my own imperfections. Amy I love your insight. Keep it up sister!
